I'd, just like the point out Auman... That bright light and massive amounts of Burning Magnesium like he posted would most probably catch the whole hotel on fire. It would burn hot and fast and would probably turn the building into a pillar of flame for everyone to see. So, hopefully that will cover my group's tracks.
