Haha, thanks. Some aren't quite as forgiving as others, oh well!
I just had a brainstorm for "fixing" the international trades engine. Mind you this just hit and there are probably problems that I don't see, so i thought I might bounce it off you before posting it to the wide world. In Earth 2025, nations build infrastructure thatand you end up with 2 products: oil and grain. These are consumeds by your military and civilians, but depending on your infrastructure and tech level, you'll produce a surplus. You then go toi the "free market" where you put your goods on sale. (Or purchase what you need.) So, instead of running all the nations 1 by 1, as I understand OMAC does with NS2, have a function like the free market, but hands off, with a favor/sanction system that de-links nations directly. Keep it simple: whenever you trade, the goods go into/come out of a common pool. Set it up so you do it like the issues. Log into your nation, do your issues, and then click "trade on the world market" (or whatever you want to call it). That'll link you to the pool, and automatically buy or sell the commodities depending on what you have a surplus of or a need for. Everytime a nation buys, the available units of each commodity go down and the price goes up. And vice cersa for selling. Have the issues set rankings for tarriffs, which will raise the prices. De-linking is the important part. Instead of running every nations trade links, just have a point system. Say for example if I want to "trade" with you, I rank you on *your* page, say -5 to +5 for sanctions to most favored. This will be you trade status ranking. A positive ranking from others pushes your selling price up and purchasing price down. And a negative rating does the same. Interested?
Sooo, is your nation some kinda Rush nation? Or are you just a fan?
I understand where you are coming from, and I am in a good mood. I will message an admin about it.
