Well the alliance is a mix of states and companies. You can join as either or.

I was thinking for the crash thread you could land in the 'hunting forest.' Its where the death guard recruits and convicts are released into and the death guard hunt the convicts and kill them. It would add to the plot as the forest is classified and people would start dissappearing.

Generic Empire royally screwed up my plan to continue the roleplay with what you were trying to do...
