Is it really impossible to make a genetic bioweapon against furries?

Otagia I was looking at your chemical and biological storefront and I was wondering if it was possible to make a biological disease that would stay dormant for weeks and be able to survive outside a host for up to 3 days. It would inhabit the lungs and the person infected would literally be breathing out the disease. The disease when active would cause the lungs to expand and increase air flow(releasing more of the disease) and continue to expand until the lungs actually begin to become so thin and burst killing the host.

Would that be possible?
