Chronicles of a Hero
This will be a one sentence story. You can write as much as you like as long as it is only one sentence long.
The theme is medieval/fantasy/dragons/monsters/etc.
A long time ago, a bitter war was fought between the forces of Hades and the forces of Heaven.
-
Angels and Demons championed each side, surrounded by the lesser races of the lands.
-
The war raged on for a millenia and by the end, the earth was on the brink of collapsing, and both sides knew something had to be done.
-
So, Zeus, with his mighty fist, back-handed Ares and told him to unleash the strongest of angels before his brother Hades initiated the strike so he wouldn't have to punish Ares' vulture, dog loving behind for lack of apprehending first bloodshed.
-
Hades, in a much similar matter, distributed his anger outwards targeted at his most powerful generals, demons not so easily bruised by any means, ordering them to eliminate any angelic warriors, anyone at all for that matter, that got in their way.
-
The armies of the two sides gathered for the battle, the battle which would end all battles.
-
The two armies massed high above Earth between Olympus and the Underworld.
-
The forces of Heaven made the first move by raining freezing arrows of ice with their elvish made bows, while priests blessed each arrow in the sky to strike their targets.
-
The forces of Hell countered with shields of fire, incinerating the arrows on impact.
-
Meanwhile, Devil-worshipping Archmages had finished chanting their spell and the clouds cluttered together to form a beastly lurking obsidian shape.
-
A barlog engulfed by blackened flames formed from the obsidian vapors and swung death down through his wielded cleaver towards the Angels.
-
The Angels roared their battle cry, causing the skys to thunder , as they charged towads the mighty beast.
-
The Angels fought the beast with all their might, but the balrog just picked each one out of the air and sickeningly ripped their torsos from their legs.
-
"Come fourth any who are worthy!" roared the beast as his deafening words resonated deep within the skulls of the angels.
-
With a cocky grin, one Angel stepped forward.
