I got over it and continued to try to be constructive while building a kingdom and eventually ran into the top 10 (and it was still a top 10 then) and learned how they play. My constructive stuff turned into opposing things that seemed really crappy in the game (to me at least because I found the bullying and power playing that was being done repugnant, I got some slight vindication and joy when we kicked the crap out of BiO and they disbanded shortly therafter).
I was flamed like mad for that PoV once upon a time. It led to me getting kinda annoyed so I ranted for a while.
Later with some time off and perspective resignation set in, so it became sort of snarky posts to express my disdain for the accepted way that things get done. Naturally just about every crappy thing in this game is perfectly logical if you accept the way most of the posters in this forum view the game. I dispute that people usually post to add value.
For me, at this point, I post to procrastinate and to make fun of (for my own amusement mostly) the logic that most who play this game follow because it is based on a particular moral view that I find baffling.
So, often my posts are just that, appropriately labeled trolling. In the instant case above, I honestly think the CR/sleepy war is a waste of time and am just waiting for something interesting. I view most of the posts from the parties engaged in it as false modesty on the part of CR, in the same vein of pyro claiming that the shinra affair was really a war with an outcome in doubt. I am laughing at all the members of this board that whined about pyro shinra but see this as a tight war. Finally, I just wish the two kingdoms would sh*t or get off the pot already, finish this up so we, the observers, can get to the battles that matter (which may include CR depending on how much they farm sleepy I guess) and I can commence laughing at all the drama that is certain to unfold when that comes.
I hope my mix of sarcasm, disdain, and hooliganism is now understandable to you haze.
happy posting.
