As of the day change sanc was about 101k acres with incoming, simians ~86k. Networth has moved somewhat to sanc's favor, but slowly.

Simians changed strategy slightly to counter our changed strategy. Now they hold armies and chain our ~500k guys with NM, with moderate success. The main problem of course is having to hold armies to resync. One such wave was done soon after the day change, so numbers are now back a bit more even.

Sanc is primarily focused on keeping armies out all the time. Without holding to resync, our chaining is lower. We've allowed simians 2 big avians to stay unbreakable and stagnate around 6k with no peasants or military - evil peanut hit for 41 acres a few minutes ago. Simians 3 big elves are a bigger problem, though one of these has suffered a bit of AW over the last 12 hours. Interestingly this also lead to an MV for the ages:

After 121 hours of a dragon, our dragon finally flew away. We sent them another one the same hour. They have yet to send us a second dragon.

Simians peasant breakdown:

As you can see their peasantry has risen significantly since the last peasant summary, and probably outstrips ours now.

This is a war of attrition.

Simians needs to employ the following strategy to turn this baby around.

Step 1: Chain any orc around 350k NW that you can double tap if they have a lot of peasants.

Step 2: Sanc has 8 orcs around 400-550k NW. Simians has 8 avians around 350k-450k NW. Split the group in 4's. The group with the highest defense, fireball down to around 10k peasnts. The group with the 4 lowest defenses, have your faeries nightstrike down to low enough defense so you can double tap. Double tap chain the provinces down to around 1200a.

Step 3: Save runes and mana on your kingdom, Fund and send an ops dragon and finish fireballing their faeries. They're all gaining significant land so your faeries should be able to ge through.

Pick the targets with the highest peasant counts and lowest land incoming to chain.

If you can build a soldier ball, pass the soldier ball to the province prior to hitting, to both inflate its networth for more gains, and so you don't gain peasants when you chain the province. Sab Wiz the province prior to chaining so it can't landlust the acres back.

Ultimately sanc's 6 unbreakables may prove too hard to beat, but this will do some damage down in the base. Simians is merchant so should fare better in the 4 day EoW period. Its possible to lose the first war but win the second one.

The goal is to get all their provinces down to around 10k peasants. I imagine this is proving difficult because both sides have so many peasants that both sides are gaining so many per hit, but that should be the goal.


Edited to say it looks like Simians is doing the chaining per the paper I saw. Got about 1.5 provinces which is pretty good. Main issue being the guy they chained isn't technically overpopping, my guess is because either he was previously fireballed or your provinces gained too many peasants while hitting them down. That's where the soldier bomb comes in, however it will be easily nightstriked by Sancs faeries, so best to send it to the province then back to a feary thats online quickly.

i think flogger can play in simians after this war ;) top strategist in a top ghetto. how fitting.

i cant really see our paper on mobile but i think we may be up on acres because dorje is still around (he likes to fake afk when we are losing and unbelieveable stuff happens to him like, trips to india, climbing mountains, having unfortunate frisbee accidents-- once i remember when we were warring vexoem he was mountain climbing and his motherboard broke while he was cowing 5 minutes before the war we were sure to lose started--co-incidence?) anyway, dorje is actually still around but i think he may have gotten banned again for posting our location (some people just never learn) -- so i noticed today that our kingdom name has been changed back from happy birthday pimpnz to Sanctuary of Absalom, which is nice although i prefer Absalom Sanctuary cause its where they send all the crazies and omg omg, we have a guy with 100% homes :o but since his entire acreage is exchanged every day or so, who cares =) oh and then we killed all this one elfs wizards, and then we fireballed him and then one of our chained guys tried to kill himself by reflecting fireballs on himself to remove his last few pessies -- This spell was reflected back upon ourselves! A massive fireball crashed into our lands and killed 3 peasants! -- and i'll have you nubs know, that not to long ago every kingdom in absalom was run by a woman -- we had exci, tonya, rosa, shadowv, to name a few -- oh, and im not sure cause i cant see the whole kingdom page at once, but i know that is says we are in 4th place for land now so i guess thats kinna good -- later =)

I reply soon. but in 10h two orcs on 5k acre with 40k plus pessies got chained to 1k acres "the smurfs" and "the tick". dorjes orcs will die one by one and when he realize it he will hit surrender. He grown his faerys with aw+LL tactic. Thats all....

Flogger, we did your strat for 48h it gave Sanctuary acres on their side so they were starting to think they would win. It was a solid strat to keep them down and weaken their armies.
But were done with it, its farming and taking orcs out from here on out.

Dorje can grow his faerys if he wants.

Dorje thinks orcs can win, very cute. We played orc setup more times then anyone else.
We know how to beat them and we know they can be put into range and get farmed when we feel like it. Each 8-10h 1-2 big orcs will go down. This is now considered farm war for acres/honor.
GL Dorje. You know where the WD button is if you want to safe face by keeping acres.

Simians have deep chained 4 provs so far while Sanc has gotten 2. At this rate like Anri has said every 8-10h we can deep chain 1-2 Orcs. 5 Fearys + 5 Elves is retarded OP.

Feed the fearies on Sanc side all you want but they can't do crap with Attacker WPA lol

Are you using your really deeply chained guys to fireball? It costs them the least runes and they'll likely have the best luck against their big fearies. If they have no defense there's no point in them landlusting.

Also - try this one out. With your small guys (500-1000a guys), try conquesting the two provinces you just chained down (The Tick and the Smurfs). You should get 6% of their land per hit, which should help chain them down deeper AND get you more land than hitting their 500a guys.

You can let their 500a guys go largely unhit for a wave or two since they're on no defense, there's no need to hit them down every wave.

I'm not 100% sure on the CQ gains but its worth a try once to see.

Flogger they greed+fb and help out overall :).

It just sucks losing offense with the conquest hits. But maybe we make 1 hit and test it out again. Dont think we tested it on chaintargets yet.
With the variety of wars and opponents this age we got to test most things out. Very interesting age!

They were 89k and Simians was 85k.

Plus i am a bit lazy and i really dont like to post a summary before our chains on the orcs had more effect. Im sure Dorje is happy to provide while he is up in acres.

We tried OOR conquest earlier this war. Didn't seem effective.

Why all the angst anri? I've never had or shown any disrespect for simians - on the contrary, as the only top20 kingdom with a longer continual existence than ours, I have quite a bit of respect for you. It makes me laugh for people who have retired or disbanded their kingdoms to make fun of either of us for having an off age every now and then.

Now, as to strategy, I'm a bit limited in my analysis today since my monarchs don't think it's a good idea to keep telling simians how they should go about beating us. Simians continues NM+chaining 1-2 provinces per wave, taking a lot of acres and causing some desertion and such. Pretty impressive strategy, and they're in perfect topfeed range for it so there's not much we can do to prevent it. The downside remains though, that they have to collect armies to do it which means keeping people home for a while - and if they want elves to be involved (I think they abandoned the elves keeping up now) then all their avians have to sit for a while. Meanwhile we keep fireballing their bigs (kandall and peanut are completely useless to the war effort for some days now, and resolving will be shortly), and max-gaining for the most part so that we never keep armies home. After the fireballs to resolving, Simians is back down to 650k peasants today, and under 12M networth for the first time.

Papers really are worthless now, since both sides have tons of pool acres and the amount of land lust from both sides is huge. At hostile start Sanc was 4k acres bigger than simians and (counting our incoming training) 500k networth less. By the time Simians starts their next wave, Sanc will be 16-18k acres bigger and 500k networth more. By the time simians ends their next wave, Sanc will be 5-7k acres bigger and 200k networth more. So while we are "winning" by any objective standard, the war remains quite close. I've told Simians that we'll withdraw if they can get up by 1M networth and I expect them to do the same (otherwise at that point we'll do a max-gains and withdraw ourselves, and just call it a victory - again, it would be really nice if war wins actually meant something, other than that you lost acres on the final wave).

lol your 4 faerys is heavily training. you put a lot of weight on them. every single attacker you got will get chained to pieces. you have my respect dorje but ur losing not winning. we outhit you and chain you so hard right now. you dont stand a chance. you can wd allready since you know you are setup to lose everything except 4 faerys we dun care about. go ahead wd while you still got acres. save face and call it a win.

I don't blame them for trying to get them back inline, but like you said jdorje, i'm not sure it's worth keeping troops at home waiting for time to attack! perhaps after the attack times fall out of sync it's time to start switching to mini-chains, and eventually max gains? The whole point of avian is their lightning attack times and keeping their armies at home to line waves back up is taking away from one of Avian's biggest advantages!

Hitting out of wave formation costs you alot of good opportunities that present itself in war. Like what if sanc has a guy who has armies out for long enough that the avians can return twice in that time, or if a sanc player bounces.

Perhaps Avian's inherent attack time advantage allows it a period to turtle to regroup that orcs would love to have but cannot since they already attack slow enough.

You can't win maxgain wars with provinces with +25% gains compared to your -10%. You have to use your speed to disable and fully chain provinces whilst topfeeding.

Alternative Simians plan:

For Sanc's guys who have no defense, I presume they're just 4x'ing back and have 500a incoming at all times. Instead of hitting them with spare armies for 10-15a hits, hit them with 15 massacres with spare armies. They are likely already low on thieves, but this will put them down to like .1 TPA.

Since he probably has something like 10-15k total and all sent out evenly in 4 armies, it only takes about 500-700 thieves per op to get max kills per nightstrike. This is a good use of your avians stealth because you're sending so few thieves per op (and barely failing) that you don't hurt your TPA that way. I presume even with Nightmare, your avians are failing a decent amount of nightstrikes and losing thieves nightstriking chain targets, if they're nightstriking at all.

This is probably the fastest way to kill sancs chained provinces with little defense. Do this and they'll be 50k NW in no time.

This has the added benefit of killing all their wizards and buildings, which likely make up a good percentage of their remaining networth. It will bring their orcs networth down to the point where they can no longer hit your 250k NW+ provinces, which is what your goal should be when you're chaining, and also what I imagine dorje is alluding to when he's suggesting you're not making his orcs "die" As I imagine the provinces you are chaining down are now the ones that are hitting you for the most land now that they've been dropped right into your networth range.

This will make his orcs die, and also will get you to your 1MM networth advantage where dorje says he'll w/d the fastest.

Once this is done, you can aid some dspecs to your smaller guys, and they can grow and farm back up, leaving sanc's 50k NW guys dead in the water.

As both sides have agreed, papers aren't very relevant, due to the amount of land lust. Early in war it was only Simians land lusting; now Sanc is using that strategy. Based on the above I'd say sanc has LL'd about 3k more in total than simians has. We've gone through about 16k pool.
