One thing I do agree with you on; I think that withdrawing from war with gains but a war loss on the kd page is a sensible thing to do in the right situation!

I've only read fragments of this thread, but I did however read the part where VT2 had a long post about his KD withdrawing, and I also read sullys reply to it. I usually only read these forums but I feel I have to comment here. Keeping in mind I read sullys taunting challenge at VT2 all I have to say is this:

Sully, you got ANNIHILATED. Just face it, you were no where near beating VT2. That must be really humiliating, and I enjoy it.

i believe VT2 was up by over 4k acres at one point?? looks to me like they were beginning to turn it around

At our peak, which was two days ago, we had over 5k acres.
When we withdrew, we were about 500 acres below the highest mark, at 4454 acres gained for our side.

They didn't turn it around, at all. They were outclassed, outmatched, and outplayed by a kingdom 1.1 million networth - a quarter of their starting size - smaller than themselves, only mysteriously managed to pick up activity, which really was too little, too little.

The best thing: we were still stuck on elite pump when I declared, and the only thing we had time to do was toss in 10% guard stations each.

essentially what VT2 is saying is for the past two days they lost 500 acres after pool gain

I think it's done here..

Same old story. You're arguing for abiding by any rules imposed on you, no matter how grotesque. And after they're changed, you still enjoy flinging mud on people in your spare time. I guess it's just better to ignore trolls than feed them, as countless other people have found out already.

You call him a pansy, yet any decent leader or player would say what he did was smart, but there you go.

Withdrawing with a nice acre gain beats staying in war and having the other kd take some back.

It is only natural that once you have gained land the other kd's provs are more pumped than your own fat ones, and will start to take them back and become fatter themselves, and then it turns around again bla bla bla

I didn't read the whole thread because theres too many discussions going on about it, but id say well done VT2 on knowing when to pull out.

If a 'cool' kd does a 'strategic withdrawal' they are applauded for it. It counts more what people think of you, whether they think you won or not.

i completely agree, the withdrawal was the right move, but from what ive read hes not willing to admit it there might have been a turn around.

his reasoning is he got bored or there was nothing left to gain.

I did not read the entiere boring thread, so what's the conclusion of this?
