There hasnt been any sort of self inflicted punishment offerred so far. Bourreau gets the cf he wanted. Emeriti got the cf they wanted. It seems the apology isnt because you actually feel wrong, (drixx's conversation to protector last hour prove that. Seems the apology is simply made to avoid any punishment. 2k acres isnt what our kingdom wants. We just got razed in eow cf. Come up with something that actually hurts you as a suggestion and we're open to discuss. Were offering peaceful solutions. No one else would be in our shoes. Is it a little embarrasing? Sure, it should be.
Last age when CJ farmed gc to his ex kd to help them in their hostile/war vs Emeriti was there punishments? Two ages ago when Emeriti gave 48h notice to a kingdom that had agreed to war them and then BB and that kingdom quickly scheduled a dodge war to start the hour before Emeriti's notice was up, was there punishments? When Flogger farmed gc from BB to BIO to help BIO 2v1 Rage (and directly lied about it until the proof was out), was there punishments? When Crystal Palace threatened Emeriti and everyone else to hit into their wars and so on, was there punishments? When the FSU kingdoms do worse acts only refuse to CF after rather than offer all land back and more like Bour did, are there punishments? When a war kingdom semi waved Emeriti while another top kingdom organized land dropped them, was there punishments? When all the ghettos and war kingdoms (many with ties) rob and plunder into notices and hostiles, are there punishments? When BB was #1 and their ally deal broke and hit down the cows in the #2 kd they were about to fight, were there punishments? When flogger made friends with ghettos to advise them and help them on how to FSU my kingdom, were there punishments?
There weren't punishments in any of these cases. In fact few were even were "made up" for. In the best cases, things get made up for and Emeriti and Bour have both made it clear they want to ensure BB is fairly repaid. Emeriti has always kept their deals with BB including when their generosity of giving a cushy cf potentially cost them the age. In this case they wrongly advised the #1 prov to try and force a cf with BB and are doing all they can to ensure BB is not hurt from the mistake. trying to leverage this into making the #1 kingdom agree give up their age in YR1 is just unreasonable and unprecedented especially when the situation can be fixed.
Bourrea in war now...
Over, the issue was that Emeriti was unhappy with Bour being big and unable to defend himself and since Emeriti was friendly with him it would be inappropriate for Emeriti to farm him themselves. Therefore they complained to him about him making sure he got all needed cf's and not being a farm even before BB's ww. When it looked like Emeriti would cf BB and Bour would be farmed by BB, the urgency of getting his cf's was ramped up.
it seems none of those events you bring up includes hitting into war, and i strictly believe that the punishment should set a good precedent for future events.. its nothing more than bs, to only offer fixing the damage done when exposed - a punishment needs to hurt.. what would stop ppl from playing dirty, when they can get away with 'ah, sorry i robbed you, here is your money back'? nop, you should spend some time in jail so it wouldnt be repeated..
asf then why are you not trying to talk to bb on this matter . All we got is drixx who tries his usual thing that is to try and talk you to death. And Bou is now in war without him working any deal out with bb.
If BB wants to talk more, I will. I am at work and not on IRC but flogger normally texts me if he wants to talk like he did last night when I was in bed and got up to spend 3 hours talking about this. I was under the impression that other Emeriti leaders were also trying to talk to BB but BB wasn't interested.
what is the self-inflicted punishment here, may i ask? from what i read in this thread, emeriti first tried to get away with the advantage by completely denying involvement and then merely offered bb what was taken from them by dirty play.. which part here is exactly the punishment?
The issue, I think, has to do with the consistency.
A few (7-8?) ages ago, there was an age where two of flogger's allies each waved once into an active war, and a third waved into an active hostile. No action taken, no condemnation made against or by any of them.
Or even just a few ages ago, elit hit bour into EOW. Again, flogger didn't ask elit to give up his shot at the crown -- in fact, flogger (tried) to help us give elit the crown that age -- he specifically told elit how much land he was going to have to take from CR to crown. EJ ultimately wound up passing them, but if hitting into eow is an issue worthy of ending an age...
Why have the standards changed? I don't think that hitting into EOW is worse than waving into war (it's probably not -- I'd generally rather get hit into EOW than war), and it's probably worse than hitting into EOW without a message prior.
The fact that emeriti and bour have apologized and offered to do what is necessary to bring BB to par (with some advantage from extra land?) seems like a reasonable solution.
(who is bour warring? Was it organized?)
