stealing from The U.

Now that's rich! Compare the top in a game to a terrorist organization that kills and maims innocent people. That there is playing the victim card to the max! You must be the steward. Yes, what you did was extraordinarily dumb and it will get you killed over and over again the more you fuel the flames. It might also impact the rest of your kingdom, which is sad because people play this game for fun and form connections. To have months of their hard work decimated within days because one of their fellow players in the kingdom was too egotistic to stop poking the sleeping giant sucks hard and you want to blame us for that? We're the egotistical ones? How about you accept responsibility for your individual actions, and if you aren't the steward demand that he do so. To remove all blame from yourself when clearly you are to blame is narcissistic, not the other way around. Have fun watching your hard work go down the drain, and do try to not pull the rest of your kingdom down with you. In fact, I'd suggest the rest of the kingdom join in the fun and raze him out. It would be a show of good faith for us "bullies" at the top and get rid of a toxic player. Good riddance.

Oh I wouldn't disagree with you, that this kind of action rarely happens. My point was just that, under the same mimicked conditions of repeated ballsy ops/hits the current victims, if they sat on the opposite side, would have done the same.

You're absolutely right. Raze killing is not an appropriate response to having resources stolen. Raze killing after telling you that we're going to raze kill you if you don't stop is, on the other hand, a perfectly appropriate response. It's called following through with what we say we're going to do. I've had plenty of smaller TMs steal my resources in the past. Normally I'd lose maybe 10-15% of my stock to 3 - 5 ops. I have never, nor has anyone who is used to playing this game, gone into overkill mode over it. It sucks, but it is to be expected. You lose 2 - 3 million gc, it happens. What possible purpose could you have in stealing +80% of stock to the tune of +16 million gc? Now that is begging for trouble. Doing that is no different than doing 2 - 3 plunders.

Just because 30mil gc is laying around on a 20 dpa prov with little thieves/WT that doesn't mean that you should help yourself to 25mil gc. Your response is mind boggling in it's absurdity.

30 million gc with no thief protection? Too bad the game has fallen so low that it is common for no one to attack or steal from tat provinces. If I were back in game running a kingdom I would order my TMs to rob you constantly. If you razed us I would just raze you back. A top kingdom has more to fear from a ghetto that can break their core provinces in mass(if you are running 20 dpa that is likely), than a ghetto from a top kingdom. Sure a player or two could get killed off, but while they are busy making small acre razes you could be grabbing their land, science and razing for huge chunks of acres back.

you can never have too much protection of gcs in front of a good tm...even if you run say 4rtpa with 80% sci and 15% wt...its useless and you will still lose. but if you choose to "order" your tm`s to steal and razes start going back and forth you might find yourself in a war that you can`t handle and will lose. so in a way if you wanna steal gcs, better get better econ and raise it on your own rather than going after someone else`s

I can see the temptation of going after that gc sitting around if it's under-defended. We never ran less than 3 raw after week 2 and were forced to make adjustments when the stealing kept on happening in droves. I don't think we ever ran under 40 dpa either. None of these small kds want land so they're not hitting a bigger guy unless it's plunder and, on rare occasion, learn. I think a lot of them assume that since stealing only shows in personal prov news and not in kd paper they're less likely to get reprimanded for it. Plus there's no guarantee they even got caught in the first place. Is there something wrong with the bigger kds letting them know they're not going to get away with it?

This thread delivers for my daily entertainment read.

Classic example when people don't know what are the current cfs up top and when's a good time to actually take shinies.

Why are big kingdoms so mad about having their gold stolen anyways? haven't we confirmed in several threads that most of you guys have EOACF and the crown is unimportant and more or less already determined? So who cares if some of your 620mil gets robbed?

As a secondary point - I see 5 kingdoms in the top 7 with this apparent attitude (who knows maybe some are bluffing) and imo we should reject it together as a community. This **** is only acceptable because you don't compete with one another - if you had to worry about getting fireballed then you would not be so apt to raze ghettos who have literally nothing to lose.

Lastly - it's also an arms race: if one top kd makes the ultimatum, then of course the others have to otherwise they'll be at a disadvantage. Instead of following like sheep, you should discourage your peer kingdoms from this kind of nonsense threat.

Because they have nothing else to do.

People are quick to act like tough guys when there's nothing on the line, if you have no targets and are CFed with KDs around you then what else are you going to do with your military besides "make a point".

Only thing this thread and tagging goes to show is how much power "ghettos" have as it highlights how much their actions piss off top KDs, pretty much everything you've said is correct regarding the lack of competition and bigger KDs wanting to get away with as little def as possible for as long as possible.

The reality is that top KDs will never band together to stop ghettos, because it's an unwinable fight for them which they will only enter once they have nothing else to compete for. Better to be raze killed every age than play in a KD of 15 people with 2 other active players.
