Q for Emeriti - Is it cool to raze into EoW if you want a CF

Chrystal got punished plenty, he lost 50k acres. The gc issue you bring up was well over 10 ages ago. If thats the last bad thing we've done, ill take it

Why have the standards changed? I don't think that hitting into EOW is worse than waving into war (it's probably not -- I'd generally rather get hit into EOW than war), and it's probably worse than hitting into EOW without a message prior.

The fact that emeriti and bour have apologized and offered to do what is necessary to bring BB to par (with some advantage from extra land?) seems like a reasonable solution.

Elit was supposed to say no to my offer. Not everything is as it seems.

Regarding hits into eow, etc. 99 percent of my time is spent on strategy, if theres not a forum thread about it, im not hyperactive scouting nerds like CR. Im not looking at everyone else's hits. If someone hit someone in end of war amd they asked me, id say not to do it. The last time dorje got dealbroken razed, i offerred to split the losses with him and rage, but rage wouldnt help. Regarding those other issues, they were 7 ages ago and i like to drink. I cannot possibly remember even the issue or what i did or didnt do or say.

However, all of this is just trying to derail the thread. Weve been about as clean as can be for quite some time.

Please don't drag me into this. I told Protector when I talked to him that I wasn't representing anyone and was personally curious. I have not nor shall I be involved in any diplomacy or official chat about this situation. I am a person separate from where I play, and it's deceptive, at best, to imply that me asking Protector to show me what wrongdoing supposedly went on is somehow me making any statement or representation for the kd I play for. I made it very clear throughout the conversation I had with Protector earlier today that I was talking to him personally and not at all representing anything but my own curiosity.

I would appreciate being left out of this mess, as I asked in the first place. I have a right to be personally curious, and I certainly have a right to ask in private what this is all about so as not to further fan the flames of a drama thread. I don't come dragging people into the forums ever, so I would quite appreciate it if you all extended the same courtesy to me.

what is the self-inflicted punishment here, may i ask? from what i read in this thread, emeriti first tried to get away with the advantage by completely denying involvement and then merely offered bb what was taken from them by dirty play.. which part here is exactly the punishment?

Really? It has been standard practice, for as long as I can recall, that one doesn't volunteer or confirm the location of friends or foes early in the age. In fact, that is such a standard that locations may never be outed on these forums, regardless of whether the kd has tagged or not.

And even if that weren't a completely standard thing, it still has nothing to do with me. I was curious about this thread because there was implication of things that didn't add up. I asked someone whom I've been an adversary with over the years but whom I also respected to be straight up and honest. I made it very clear then (and again, now) that this is personal curiosity on my part. If I am at all known in this game it is for my interest in Ethical play. So again I ask you to simply leave me out of the drama thread. If you want to chat with me personally, you can always find me on utonet.

You'd be proud, games been getting cleaned up lately, aside from some recent failed fsu attempts

We got 4x blasted by a fsu'er and Another t5 monarch offered me the info with no provoking and no way id ever know just last age. Hard to be mad at him then, not sure i even told my kd.

The reason honesty generally works best is because if you deny and coverup, its a 13 pagr thread

From outsiders perspective ASF's summary of events seems plausible to me.
Not cause I favor any side but I cant help but think if Emeriti intentionally wanted to ****play BB they could have just farm Bour (and other big provs in his KD) themself while BB was still in eowcf.
That would certainly be more impactfull than temporary denying BB 380 acres, and would cause a lot less fuss on forums.

razing bb into eowcf was the funnest thing i have done in years on this game.

I really enjoyed watching everyone get so worked up over it, thats really funny too.

the part i dont like is dragging the emeriti folks into it. It was our decision end of story. i feel bad that they had to spend so much of their time defending themselves in here for our actions. yeah we have friends there, but we were acting on our own behalf not on on theirs.

Out of curiosity, why did BB accept the CF offer (or come to terms to a new one) with Emerriti if Bourreau just 4h later offered the 380 acres (who makes zero difference) back and extra gold on top of it? They knew there was an easy way to get him off their backs and get the mere 380a back?

Why didnt BB just take Bourreau offer to get him off their back and continue prepping to war Emeriti if it was so important for the sake of the age?

Bourreau offered the acres back immediately after the razes happened. We (bb and emeriti) agreed to a cf ~12-16h later.
