Q for Emeriti - Is it cool to raze into EoW if you want a CF

I have played since the betas so Im familiar with his work. I never seen him as a drama queen thou. I do know he have a huge beef with anything Absalom related and a huge problem with the idea that Jdorje or ASF will end up having a better track record then him in this game. Thats why he PMs ASF wanting to know his crown count and why he doesnt want Emeriti to b2b crown, and even worse, have a chance to tripple crown next age would they win this one.

Had there been any other single player in a kd giving Bourreau advice on how to get a cf from BB he wouldnt have cared the least about the 380a. 380a is nothing and it didnt have any impact at all on the possible war between Emeriti and BB.

If BB wanted, they could just have taken Bourreau offer and taken back the 380a, CFed him for a while and take him down later, and continued to prep for Emeriti without CFing them. Question is, why did they make such a fuss over 380a here in the forums instead of just redeeming the acres and take on Emeriti?

None of the tools in these forums can think that far thou.

Also if losing 380a to a third party should be redeemed by a kd giving up their goal of no1. Im sure gonna want to see what the suitable redemption will be for the next drama thing that happens?

Now that it setting a precedent if nothing.

We cfd later because we had to draft up in eow and could no longer fight you.... You know, and we assumed we would be busy killing x:x. Didnt find out they were your allies till after we ceasefired.

Was there a curtain call for all the abs players to logon and be the first pro abs posts come page 13?

So you suggest we'd just take back the lodt land and ignore the fact that we got ****played and leave the offending kingdom unpunished? You do know this has nothing to do with 600 acres and everything with "doing the right thing to not set a precedent for the future".
I'd be really curious if the roles were reversed and if we had sent a few friends to raze into emeriti eowcf and you found out. You wouldn't take back the 600 acres and pretend it never happened.

Also, the fact that you first apology for emeriti's ****play and now continue to defend them makes me wonder how honest that apology is.

So then BB seriously felt that those 380a razed made it impossible to war Emeriti? Those 380a ruined any chances of winning? Its the only logical answer if:

BB prep to war Emeriti and reject their cf proposal
Bourreau raze 380a demanding a CF, BB refuse to CF and get the 380a back
BB cfs Emeriti
Flogger comes to the forums and makes this thread

Why didnt u just CF Bourreau, get ur acres back, take him out later in the age, and continue prepping for Emeriti? Especially since flogger claims not taking them out now gives them the age win?

Sure u been around long enough to have let a few instigators slide for a while to accomplish a greater goal? Im sure you do it every time you let some loner in a ghetto of with a few positive acres on you cause its not worth the stalling?


Edit: I dont know how many times Emeriti leaders have posted that they dont think razing into EOWCF is OK and they want to help you redeem what you lost. Isnt that answer enough for the only question you care about, setting the precedent?

Is a huge difference between a random hit in normal relations and getting razed into eowcf.

So you are saying we should just pretend nothing ever happened? Lol.

The general rule of thumb is if someone ****s you over, you dont give them exactly what they want.

It doesnt have to be. Sure if the one razing is unresonable and force you to draft up there is.

If the guy razing you offer u the acres back for a CF and thus allowing you to fix the situation right away without any real loss at all, then its not.

Fact is, you guys could have just cfed him, taken the acres back, not suffered any real damage and gone forward with your plans.

Instead you victimize yourself by not doing it and ruining ur prep for Emeriti by not CFing him and drafting up. And for what? Some sort of pride? Some notion that noone gets away with hitting you?

Then you blame Emeriti for it. Like 24 others can controll if one guy gives a third party a bad advice and that dude goes through with it

No you get them later and go ahead with your plans. You dont play them right into their hands and let them ruin your plans, which is exactly what you did.



Edit: Dont get me wrong. I think what happened to you guys sucked and u as a kd certainly doesnt deserve it. But you had the choice to make the impact of the razes non existent by just CFing Bourreau, take your acres back + a Little extra gold, and kept prepping for Emeriti. Then you could have dealt with Bourreau later (im sure he would have accepted a year 4 or 6 or 8 CF)

Instead you chose to ruin your plans by starting to draft to fight Bourreau and CFed Emeriti. But this was clearly your choice. You had a very easy solution to fix the problem and proceed as planned, u just chose not to do it. Simply to make a point or example out of Boureau?

I just think its weak to blame Emeriti for the result of your choices when you obviously had options.

so one kd razes u into a eowcf forcing u to train over 2 days early isnt bad ?

And it coming just a few houers after telling emeretti we was to think about the cf offer and get back to them.

Basicly giving emretti time to get a cf and pump more of their sci.

And i dont think bour ever offered land back without a cf...

It warms my heart that there's at least one other person that get's what I'm saying lol

If the only punishment for a thief was to return what he stole, everyone's going to start stealing.

In this case, it seems like the thief could have returned what he stole and got what he really wanted in the first place, and there are people who think that's okay.
