Simple question: Is massacre in war ever viable in this day and age?
Is running 80opa/40 dpa 4 raw tpa with 40% thief sci and 20% TD's a viable option as a hybrid UD? So far i have had no isses NSing and stealing 1 mill + per day GCs to maintain a high amount of elites
What to do when you reach unbreakable as attacker in war with avian elites in? Build more def specs until youre unbreakable without elites? Enemy kingdom has no UBs
Edit. Should you just attack straight when troops at home or wait until their biggest attackers hit someone else and then attack with faster attack time so you have troops home again before them?
...
Our war ended recently with our KD of 22 pretty scattered in acres like this:
6 provinces - 1200-1400 acres - 3 halflings, 1 elf, 2 faeries
8 provinces - 200-400 acres
the rest are 500 to 800-ish.
The chained provinces are getting taxed too much to rebuild on aid alone.
Question:
To what extent should we reduce that acre and networth gap before we find the next war? I guess I am concerned with unbreakables being too huge to do much damage from the beginning of our next war.
Realest, why is ruby dragon the best? My kingdom insists on using gold and sapphire. How do you explain to them that ruby is the be all and end all of dragons?
it depends on why you're using gold and sapphire. Ruby isnt the "best", it's just least likely to be wrong and its as close to one size fit all as you can get
As reaslest says ruby is more of a one size fits all... Gold sapphire and emerald are more situational... Gold is a beast but it's more of a finisher once the opponents economy is already killed...sapphire on the other would be a good starter if you're warring a let's day a full hybrid kingdom....
What's a nub?
When you defect do you also lose 15% of sciences?
yes
Realest, do Orcs or Undead make better attackers?
ud imo
could you give a brief explanation as to why? i personally feel orcs are better, so i was wondering what your thoughts were.
How do I recrute 3 good active players? they also need to be funny and listen to what I say.
And I kinda need them right now. Any advice? :)
the UD vs Orc argument is not about how hard you hit, but how hard you GET hit and keep moving forward.
Penalty:
* - 10% building efficiency
* - 50% thievery and magic damage (on offensive operations)
You need to spend a lot of time pumping to overcome these deficiencies.
What should you set your wages to when chained?
200% - get fed gc to support it
only lower wages when pumping imo. never when in an active conflict.
It what situation during or prior to war would u find
Expose Thieves or Sabotage Wizards to be beneficial. I wondering specifics over other strategies not like "to hurt a a/t & a/m".
generally not useful. if you can use ET or SW on a t/m in the first place, you have to wonder if theyre that effective to begin with.
In theory, if your A/T can SW on a A/M, and your A/M can ET a A/T, it sounds like the perfect setup right? My question for you then, doesnt that mean you just invested in "hybrids" to do useless ops? What exactly was your objective? Another reason why "hybrids" are retarded. Why not just build a perfect attacker in the first place?
if you can land ET at a high rate, why not fireball or tornado instead?
i feel going orc merch would cancel out the negatives. and the thief/mage is only on offense, so that doesnt much matter. id say more pumps are necessary for undead with the-20% sci. both are viable options for strong attackers, just stating my two cents.
Cuote from godlys page: "If you picked Undead and didn?t go the with obvious Rogue personality, you are a moron."
Why excactly is the rogue personality the obvious choice for undead?
Now im by far not as pro or leet as Realest and godly. That being said, im one of those 'useless' human rogue hybrids. Now i wont even try doing sabotage wizzards on a faery cuz i know it would never succeed but doing kidnap on a dwarf during war on the other hand. I gained acres last war and was able to fill up my pop by 2500 peasants in one tick. Im running 3 raw tpa and still having 90 OPA.
I for one think i wasnt that useless during last war since i gained most acres out of 16 attackers and most of em being pure attackers.
Okay i know that when fighting absalom where everyone will have huge thief defense being a hybrid wont be as usefull, but while im still fighting ghetto kingdoms i find sacrificing 2 epa for tpa is not too bad a trade off.
Ud's don't have access to most thievery ops if you pick rogue however they do. That's why rogue is interesting on ud's, I don't really agree that it's the only viable pick on them tho.
As a reply on your second message, the reason you gained most of your kd has nothing to do with being a hybrid or not. It's only because you didn't get targetted much x). If they chained you, you would've gone down anyway.
Okay i agree, i was left alone during most of the war. I only got hit 3 times, yet still i got more acres than our pure attackers who didnt get hit a single time. Sure, i was more active and simply made more attacks than him.
But if youre a chain target nothing will save you right? Not even having those 2 tpa in elites instead? Not sure on that though cuz i realize it translates to 20 opa which prolly means you could pull off one extra attack but if you just got deep chained youll just go with 4 ambushes cuz your trad marches wont be half as effective right?
Well i honestly hope that was being sarcastic though it doesnt really sound like it to me;
1) Picking a stupid race/personality. If you are going Undead Cleric or Dwarf/Orc Rogue, just uninstall right now. If you picked Undead and didn’t go the with obvious Rogue personality, you are a moron. Beginning your round with a terrible setup is the single most destructive way to ensure that you will farm the entire round.
IIRC Godly wrote that in an age when Rogue Thief Dens were incredibly powerful, and undead was able to utilize them very well. I may be wrong? I wasn't here when that age went down.

My Kingdom is a warring kingdom filled with hybrid undeads, a few hybrid elves, some faeries. We also have some avians.
Im going to save you some time and let you know that you will need to include more relevant information before Realest can provide an accurate "critique".
Please include:
-for what type of in-game situation you are aiming to build your province for, ie. War, oow-randoming for growth, pumping.
-whether or not you are active enough to army in/out with the current ~7.01 hour attack times you will have in war
/end being Realest's secretary
