Did Sanct and Mother Advice notice?

Yeah what's the deal there? Not sure if cash ever saw play, but I see what looked to me like a gentleman's wager :)

I'm having a dilemma here.
On one side I'd like to see Sanctuary get b2b so we can see Realest back in action.
On the other hand that means Proteus would win the bet, which would just make him more cocky as he already is.

There is no dilemma anymore :). At least concerning this war.

I don't understand what happened. Did sanctuary not build WTs? Why are their banks getting farmed so horribly?

maybe they decided to pull a sim....

MA has a halfling rogue in range which is a huge weapon + several halfers close to range.

I'm not sure why those halfers don't get exposed (especially at warstart). I suppose their banks got AW'd.

That's a rather nasty setup, with the unbreakable halfers and unkillable undeads.

What I don't particularly understand is why Sanc has ONE halfer and why it's not in an important spot for the kd lol

I always believed those absalom halfers were supposed to go up as bank supports. (4 human/mystics + 1 halfer rogue for banking)

Absalom/HoH kd's:

Havoc- 5 Faery/20 Humans
Rage- 4 Faery/1 Halfer/20 Humans
Sanctuary- 4 Faery/1 Halfer/20 Humans
HoH-4 Faery/6 Halfer/15 Humans

Absalom has a similar ratio, a good set up for whoring. Relying on your 5 T/M races to do mass opp runs then chains if it gets to war. They have great activity and good co ordination. Problem is once you get a few provs getting over thier mid range provinces sizes thier screwed, not enough opp power to bring down provinces as fast as they pop up into the high mid prov range size.

Like trying to kill weeds with an eye dropper. MA has done really well to have been in top 1-2 for size running that many halfers with nerfed gains. Against a normal foe the Absalom strategy would prevail. But ELit has managed to keep up in size with a very effective opp race based kd set up, more like what most people would equate to a ghetto warring strategy.

Big wars are always nice to watch......DOn't have to get up as much as being in one :P

The ABs is set up to favour ABs! We will all see in the end that the winner was decided when they picked these races! SMART!

Nowadays it's more common for the big cows to sit on zero thieves. Rage did it last age, Sanctuary did it this age and now that's you. If you ask me, a taunt like the one done on Sanctuary or you is a good thing; it makes everyone aware you can get something back from the ones that keep feeding on you.
If you want to hoard gold, you better protect it. If you think you can sit on zero thieves for weeks, deal with the consequences of being robbed once you're caught.

I agree. However, Sanc's best crown opportunity was to win by a lot or lose by a lot, you could argue the latter provides them greater crowning chances so it will be an interesting race going forward.

So you might get both of your wishes.

This is Age 57 right? So there is still plenty of time left. If anyone can do it, it's Rage of Absalom, arguably the best kingdom since we stopped playing. Elit might have won this age, but you can bet that Absalom will return stronger than ever (they always do) next age. Age 58-59 can easily see a Rage-Heroes or Rage-Rage run of two straight crowns for the alliance. Doubt this Havoc kingdom will do anything that warrants a mention in the record books.

So whats with Rage and this high prestige? Just looking back at the rankings during the 20 last ages they had only 2 crowns.

They have proteus dont they? thats a ton of prestige points right there to start with.

There was a b2b/3peat in the 10s too (Pansies age 18,19,20) and in the first ages of utopia, age 1 and 2 was won by the same kd, dont remeber their name thou

so we gotta have one in the 50s ;)

Well I only consider winning NW/Land twice in a row a true back-to-back.

Age 1-9: No back-to-backs. Special mention to United Britannia/Provinces and also to Flogger's Paradox Gauntlet/Relentless Armies for winning the Land Crown twice each in 1, 2, 4 and 6.
Age 10-19: Pansies became the first kingdom to win back-to-back (both NW/Land Crown) in 18 and 19. Seal of Solomon won Land Crown in 14 and 15. Playboys AR did the same in 16 and 17.
Age 20-29: Pansies capped off a threepeat by winning the NW/Land Crown in 20. Pansies won again in 22, making it 4 in 5 ages, and disbanded shortly after. Brute Force won NW/Land in 25 and 29.
Age 30-39: Playboys won back-to-back NW/Land Crown in 37 and 38. Brute Force won the NW/Land Crown for their third time in 32. Seasons won NW/Land Crown twice in 39 and 41.
Age 40-49: Sonata won back-to-back NW/Land Crown in 44 and 45. Rage won Land Crown twice in 40 and 46, and NW twice in 43 and 46. Sanctuary won the Land Crown in 43 and 47.
Age 50-59: We know Sanctuary failed this age.. so it remains to be seen Shai!
