I was wondering why you were talking to him as if you thought he was dumb, not about the details about how long it takes to kill dragons. You made the choice of assuming he had no good reason for what he did, and you've done that several times already in this thread, which suggests you don't think he's very bright. I don't think you actually think he's stupid, so you should think a little more about what you write before you post it. If you wanna play mind games (which is a very useful strategy to help you win wars), you probably shouldn't be doing it here in the forum at all. You should take the chance to learn from both what he's saying and how he's acting, because he's doing it a lot better than you right now.

To be clear, I actually like what you guys are doing, bringing some action to the top. I just wish you'd improve the attitude a bit too, because it's what's standing in the way of people respecting you.

No, i know Dorje is smart. Thats why i wonder why he post a story about dragon slaying here. It does not make sense why dragon was slayed at that time. Unless they think it would somehow take down the morale in Simians? For some players in Simians it might seem as it was a good move and tear down morale a bit. Maybe in Sanc its a sign of strength to be able to slay the dragon with the bank. It beats me.

Luc, i have talked like this since i started to play this game. I have no intention to be everyones friend or change my way of speaking to Dorje or anyone else.
This is the way i am and this is the way Simians play. We are not meant to be nice, cuddly or friendly to people because we are here to **** around with people and war them.
The way i am ingame is not the same person i am on irc when game is down or in IRL. Here i can troll and say what i want. Its the internet. People like Dorje has been talking to me and they know the way i play and the way i talk. The only one finding it offensive or something is you Luc. Infact i like Dorje and i respect him a lot. Thats why i war him.
There is no way to progress unless you dont war people like him. If he cant handle Simians mentality he should WD all ready.

There's no worries here, I'm not offended. You don't have to be cuddly and friendly, just saying people will probably not ever really respect you unless you act classy. My advice is you take some pointers on how to be classy from Dorje, that's all. Anyways, keep up the good work forcing the dicers to war, it helps keeping the game alive :)

Hmm, see I had never seen the word, though knowing enough roots I could guess its meaning. Just a quick post for anyone else here who had never seen it before. Thought I think the definition suggests more of an emphasis on the metric aspects? Nothing in the post in question would have made me turn to any metric qualities to understand the role-playing aspect of the passage.

Acting classy is boring. Thats why i stay mean and keep myself filled with hatred. Its the only way i know how to compete and stay active. Else this game gets WAY to boring and you earn to few enemies. This is a strategic war-game in my eyes. Even if most would not agree with me. I need things happening around me after 50 ages of playing this game. Some way to make it fun still and not only some wierd and geeky addiction. The last two ages been decently fun since we decided to **** around some with the top and get ourselfs into some conflicts we dont belong in. It keeps people active and things interesting.

I can be a dick, because this is a game. I can be classy at work, i can be the nicest guy irl. Here i do what i want.
I treat my players really good and the KD morale is great and they are having fun. I kept my KD rolling for over 50 ages.
Dont tell me how i should act or what i should do. I have more players wanting to play for me then most others.
Just because we play this style and we lead in this style.

I'd tend to agree respect and class is overrated in a game that is very much segregated into various social cliques. What purpose does it serve to be nicer to your enemies? Am I honestly a better leader if i treat flogger the same way I treat Dorje the same way I treat Anri? Personally, I don't think so.

We did a conquest for 400a on one of them.
I did PF and 1 NM on him.
I think its possible if they grow some more they are in for trouble.

As "luc the diplomat" I'd say there's a difference between arrogance and arrogance, depending on what foundation you build it on. Some people can afford being arrogant (though I have yet to see it have any useful effects), some can't. Pragmatism and respectfulness beats rule of fear tactics way too often for the latter to a smart strategic decision in the long run.

As for being "nicer to your enemies", I'd say that if you're busy making real enemies in a game like this, you're too emotionally invested or covering for RL deficiencies. Most of us have been there and done that, but when it goes on forever it's a bit sad, no? People who have to belittle others to feel better about themselves are rather pathetic in my eyes.

Also, some people hide behind the "troll" word and use it as a shield against their own insecurities (again I think you catch my drift). I'd say the chance of that being positive for anyone at all is slim. Not everyone is cut out to be a role model I guess.

Activity is coming back since weekend is over.

Inside Simians: Maverick got arrested, Imp4ct was hospitalized after a dirt-bike accident, Calle got way to drunk, Alaris had GF problems. 3 players activated sitting over weekend. Realm was afk getting wasted while using a tree as a campfire. What else happend. I dont know. Activity sucked but most had their reasons. No one told me the dog ate their computers at least. GG

Sanctuary have better activity then we do over weekends. We have better activity in week-days. :)

Slaying dragons is worth it just for that 30 seconds of cheap thrills and laughter watching someone bounce from the slain dragon... Then you realize 31 seconds later that you just royally f*cked up when you see the new fluffy flying in.

It can be worth to slay if you take an economic win and can keep them down low enough on gc to be unable to fund. But we are merchant KD. Another reason to slay is if you can grow out of dragon range. This happend vs Fratzia.

We slayed dragons back and forth. After some time we managed to send a new dragon and start a new right before we came out of dragon range of sending them a dragon.
Plus we grew oor from them sending a dragon into us. Thus we slayed it and had 1 dragon on them plus another one ready to be sent even if we were out of range to receive one back.
Worked very good! Other then that i cant think of many situations this far into war when it is acctually worth slaying it.

Sanc starting to do waves also now. :)

A bit curious with all that aid flowing around, have the fairies tried boost the defense of a few attackers into unbreakable attackers? If so I'm guessing simians is just stopping that by chaining any attacker that grows in def? Hey its a 12 day war, they might have tried it...just curious.

Sometimes i can do these 1 min logins for many days in a row. But i do logg and i do it from work, i do it from home, i do it if i am on the ****house, i do it when i smoke, i do it in the car, i do it before i sleep, i do it when i wake up, i read the morning news on the android while doing utopia on the second page, i do it the same time i watch TV, i do it when i walk to work, i do it when i want and when i feel for it. I need 2 minutes to send wave orders out per sms, i need 2 minutes worth of my time to organize a wave or do a monarch swap. I need 30 secs worth of time to sms someone else to mass sms an order. I am effective when i do utopia. I get more **** done in 5 minutes worth of time then most get in 1h worth of time. I just wasted as much time on you as it takes to make a wave. You dont know crap. Stop derailing my thread.

Persain, almost true. But def is not a problem. No one of their attackers can ever reach UB status. We ops anyone down way to easy. The problem is offense and how many peasants they got. Those are mostly the ones we chain down.

Their TBs are getting ****ed all over. Their TBs suck way more then on our side. Their bank and the other three 7k faerys are aiding those orcs really hard. Many of them are 4-5 mill gc negative TB right now.
