Elves are not nearly as bad as VT2 says... faster overpop from chaining is just the bogeyman in the closet.
Everyone likes to talk about chaining as if they know how to do it well. But if you snoop around a bit - talk to people on utoreporters, talk to AR, talk to friends in alliances - you'll quickly realize that there are probably 10 kds in the game who chain really well. By really well I mean 20+ prov waves every single time. There are probably another 25 kds that consistently mount 15+ provs per wave.
Your typical top 50 charted kd isn't nearly as good as they'd like you to think. Even if their opening wave is good, they don't maintain it as war progresses.
Unless an elf takes 8 or 10 hits in a single tick (from provs of similar nw), overpop from slower losses isn't going to hurt them. And if said elf is active enough, he'll quickly log in and release some troops and either explore or send soldier aid. The only way he gets totally screwed is if he's not active enough to respond... and that much is true for any race.
SOMs - make them easier to get. You need 2 or 3 for an SOM calculator, and if you have to get them on multiple targets (especially as a kd leader) when deciding who should be hit, you can rapidly blow through huge chunks of stealth. Personally, I'd also like to see cbs easier to get, but that's just me.
hm, a nice change would be, to pick, how many food is being showed down the peoples throats. like there is a normal 100% food need then every effect it has on people be/income/military is 0. But when you increase it to 200% they would grow like Military efficiency or in some similar matter. But when you put it to 75% or it drops lower ever, they will start to have negative effect, like -be/military/income. That gives the reason to starve people during wars.
just an idea. could work something out of this.
Diego it's because of my experience of playing "T/M" that I know how overpowered they are. You really shouldn't make assumptions about people's personal experiences and should instead stick to the topics as posted and comment on those. Better still post a few suggestions of your own.
SillyPanda.... I don't want anybody to stop playing anything... especially not T/M... people can play whatever they like. I'm just trying to focus the discussion on next age changes towards nerfing T/M power,exploring and dicing in favour of attackers and warring as the way to grow your kd and gain honour.
They are the changes I believe the game needs. They are the changes my suggestions are geared towards.

removing nw based attack time in war will make raze completely useless while making massacres ridiculously powerful.
if ppl insist on making this change, then add nw based DAMAGE for massacres as well as trad marches, while boosting raze slightly

You consider attacking to be equal to war. Newsflash for you, lots of people don't see things that way. Lots of people like when the idea of strategy is slightly more than just who to hit. Thievery and magic exist in the game for a reason, to make it more diverse.
Why not make homes overpowered? Seriously? Since when is it fun to play a game where only one strategy works?
I consider your posts to be a waste of time. They are based on making the game less diverse, less balanced and suited for your own preferences. That brings nothing to the discussion at all, and neither does your superior attitude
And btw, if your experience with t/m's is telling you that they are overpowered, then you should really try to play the game some more

My suggestion is not about the changes in the game, I dont know if it is the right place, but It would be nice for kingdoms to have sound in their kingdom pages or a link there that will finally show a video or play an mp3 (maybe in youtube). It may make the wars more amusing, posting videos or sounds related to the current position in the war :)
A lot of people complain about elf losing runes and having high rune costs.
How about a auto self spell feature for elf that keeps on MP, MS, FL, BB, IA on 24/7 and it cannot be MV.
