As it stands, which race combo would be ideal core for a non whoring, full time warring kingdom?

So, hope this isn't an annoying question:
Most people tend to take offense offense offense as the way to go, and clearly attacking is the only way to war; however, i know a lot of the peeps in your KD(and other past successful war kd's) like using more defensive race/pers (/6 dspec, semi-turtle capability, cs or reflect magic) who work better in a max gain situation(have inherent ambush defense and can be aided into ub easier). Obviously it's all situational, but I was wondering if you thought there was an inherent mechanical preference within the game given to offensive attackers(few losses, high gains, high offensive leet ect.) v. semi-defensive attackers. Not really looking for a yes or no as much as the types of things you would look at to compare them, and to see if i'm missing things in thinking about their utilities in war and oow. Also wanted to see how you would compare the different strats in light of which race/pers will likely be selected at start of age due to changes.

Is this a reasonable way to look at the personalities for next age? IE looking at how much land I can free up for other buildings?
assuming 80% BE
cleric= permanent 20% hospitals + animate dead
tactician- permanent 12.5% rax + the extra specialist credits
warrior- 8% TG for offense in war only + 1 extra general
sage- 15% libraries + cheaper research/defense against learns.
yes, it's viable, and that's how the logic basically works. Now the next step is to see what the opened space can be used to improve your province vs another personality
What is the amount of thieves ou use for duration ops and prop?
I've always just been messing around with the numbers, and the results I have are not very satifactory...
What I use for prop is the numbers for NS, but I'm sure it can go higher.
For riots I'm sending as much as possible, but thwn I'm risking high thief losses.
For BG I usually send like 1/3 or 1/4 of my thieves. But I dont know if it's food enough. Is BG duration affected by amount of thieves sent?

If you will answer any question, answer this. Give us the OOP strat of say..the top nw/land kds . What are their building/military strats? Do they give attention to science,wpa and tpa? How much land do they explore. Also, how much bigger does a bank grow in relation to other kd mates.

Just wanting to learn how big kds run . I do know the race and set-up. I'm looking at their kd pages right now. Activity level is assumed to be high, as expected of the top land/nw kds.
I am looking for a rationale for such a set-up and how it works. Anyone keen to share from experience?

Realest, I am an old, casual player of the game that has just returned recently. I never was apart of a kd that could be considered anything but a ghetto and when I learned, I apparently learned the game from idiots.
I have not played in for so long that I forgot everything I once thought I knew so I decided to go hunting for information before creating and then ruining a province again. 44 pages later here I am, with a much better grasp of the mindset I should be in to succeed. I just wanted to thank you for all the helpful info this thread; I have learned more about the game from this thread than from all my previous experience combined.
I also have one question for you after all that reading. You continually preach efficiency, sustainability, and flexibility; however those are rather broad topics that I having trouble wrapping my mind around. I was hoping you could give some concrete examples of what you you mean here. Classic mistakes made in previous ages vs. the correct solution, etc.

in my kd were getting avg 4 uniques a day is that normal standards or is that above normal i want to go against stronger kd but not sure where we stand atm, but avg 4 uniques seems good for min time war no?
sorry 4 uniques per war min time ofc not 4 a day my bad and i get about 3 that get 5 uniques

First I would recommend you be sanctuary. Although that war was not really on even ground as sanctuary had quite an advantage pre war. So really a pre war advantage is pretty helpful. I cannot imagine a larger pre war advantage then what simians had over FTF so gloating about winning a war that was an obvious victory is not really the best way to further your kingdom. You beat some guys much smaller then you, you had a bank. ETC. So much chatter over such irrelevant nonsense. The win was not decisive enough considering all the advantages for me to really consider it anything other then a close war effort in which the obvious winner won.

I must say running 20-30% draft and no warbuild is not an advantage vs 50-60% humans rogues in warbuild.
You are rather wrong, they should have walked right over us. If that had been Sanctuary we would been down 20k acres and would have had to WD and our banks would not have been intact. I can point out 10 things they did not do that they should have done to farm us down. So they had an awfull strategy and should have won.
This is why Realest and crew should not be answering tactical questions here cause obviously they dont even know how to war. If i had ran Realest KD i would have whopped Simians so hard knowing the status of both KDs when first wave came and what shape Simians was in during war. Its laughable really. I can tell you about 15-20 KDs that would have whopped our ass under these circumstances.
War is a stance. You threw away your age to change stance.
20% guilds is the standard rule unless your BE is below 100% in which case you must run higher to compensate. Higher percentages will bring your greater success and increased acres over long term periods but are neglectable otherwise.
Undead question, is the specialist-> elite transfer only for "tough" battles? I noticed it doesn't happen when it's intra kingdom. Also does it work for all attack types? Or only Trad march?
