The logs only look slightly bad for the other kingdom, unless you assume they are liars.

I could not disagree more, there was no bs involved whatsoever on our part. We were honest and straight forward all the way through. I think about half the kd were set as sitters at the time and there are other top kds who should be able to verify that we actually were disbanding, because some of us were going to merge with them. And suprise suprise the kd DID disband after the FS wave! The reason we asked for permission to war x:x is because they were a weaker kd who wanted to war us and did a learn wave thus giving us a last chance to see if we could work things out as a kd. We went to ASK FS permission to war them. Did you not read the logs?
But that is all besides the point. (Yes it sucked that we withdraw from it and we did promise to war them later in age and refund any losses to them financially.) BUT Both meteor AND the monarch gave permission for us to withdraw AND to go and war x:x so irrespective of any other argument this is a db and a hit into a hostile. The logs which you saw are absolutely clear. What is also clear is the way meteor dealt with the issue in a disgusting way and only backed down after getting outside help. Did you not see the part where he admitted to the majo f***up on his part?????
Sorry pale. but the more and more I read your posts the more and more i question any impartiality I thought you may have. (not that it really matters or makes a difference)
If I recall correctly, I think we indeed didn't 'wave' FS. We have exchanged hits though, and we had agreed to war you guys. But then you suddenly went to war with another kd when we had planned to wave you (according to the war we agreed on). No biggie though, odds vs the other kd were much better and ofc when you have multiple war options you pick the better odds....
Oh and btw, there is roughly a 5+ day gap between withdrawing from the fs war and ASKING fs if we can war x:x.
Holy crap, anyone got a coles notes version of this thread?
Swagger,
FS and SS, and some other kingdoms who I don't know are having an argument of silliness. FS and SS decided to settle the argument through ingame actions. Others interfered on behalf of SS, FS therefore asked for an got help form others.
Current score is something like 19-6 in favor of FS.
Ergo, FS wins the argument and all the rest of this is just people whining.
Who ever from the 3rd party KD sent the latest taunt banner to FS should realize that it directly contradicts SS's claim that they had no intention of going for the honor crown. So, either you (this 3rd party KD) have no idea whats going on and are just following the bandwagon or you just mistakenly revealed SS's underlying intentions. I'm betting on the former.
I see while I was sleeping the alliance made more friends...
how many players have you caused to quit the game today?
Congratulations BB, FS, Pyro and CR(never thought I would have to add you guys to this list) well played.
Every single post and in game action has done nothing but prove that you have no interest in fairness. Apparently you are all on a power trip to feed your egos. well merry Christmas. Instead of Admiration for your achievements you have now earned disgust for your actions from the community of Utopia.
And thanks devs for enabling these morally corrupt players.
p.s. I do not blame the players in above list of kingdoms. They are following orders of their monarchs what is totally understandable(within reason)
not at all. It's no secret who sent the banner, it shows in their news. I think Ascension should take the honor crown actually. But what the banner does show is that no one ever really had a shot at the crown other than FS. It was decided at the beginning of the age, maybe even before then. Clearly proven by the actions of their "friends". Makes that crown a truly honorable achievement...not.
Kiss up enough and some day it may be your turn to crown :) I can give you a map of where to start.
lol @ blaming the devs for the "moral" choices of players.
Now we're getting real desperate.
To sum very briefly:
- 2 fs leaders agree not to hit kd x if they go to war with someone else
- kd x goes hostile with y
- fs wave into kd x
- no db or hit into hostile
#fairplay alliance logic.
I think they could prevent a lot of this if they changed some things. It has been brought up a lot. The suggestion thread is full of it. They of course cannot prevent people with poor moral from playing, but they could change the mechanics to at least make it harder to abuse the system.
Prevent what? There's nothing that's happened that has needed to be prevented. Some kingdoms stood up for what they thought was right. Some other kingdoms stood up for what they thought was right. One side won.
If your side had been on top of this exchange I'd be willing to be a pretty penny that you wouldn't be complaining that the devs need to "fix" the game so "morally corrupt" players don't have so much power. Also, for what it's worth, calling other players morally corrupt because they disagree with you makes you sound bitter and stubborn.
I recall Palem going after FREE. So to might those that oppose the diplomatic environment in question.
It's on the timetable of those willing to move when they feel like it. If they don't feel like it the situation continues. If they do feel like it then oh well. It doesn't have to be organized, just an dividual with a grudge. Or a few as we recall Remote razing AMA.
Change is tough. The new boss is often like the old. But maybe we're not talking about change.
Huh, today I learned Coles Notes is Canadian only haha
"my side" will always win eventually, it always does. Maybe not in this case in Utopia since the way it is going they will kill the game before good and fair can prevail.
you would lose that bet.
I am stubborn and yes right now I am bitter. Disagreeing with me does not prompt me to dislike or disrespect someone. Showing a lack of human decency, unsportsmanlike behavior and bullying do. If the community rewards such behavior there is a problem.
i am currently trying to help a kingdom being raze killed by another kingdom for no reason. It's a small kingdom so the top won't care about it.
These are almost all new players, do you honestly think they will return after this pleasant gaming experience? And this isn't even in war. It's not against the rules though and they didn't break any deals. They are bigger and stronger so the game (and the top has seconded that opinion) makes it okay.
Just because something is not prevented by game mechanics doesn't mean it should be tolerated.
Just because something isn't specifically mentioned in the code of conduct doesn't mean we should tolerate it. It should definitely not be rewarded.
And you're perfectly able to do something about it and if you do do something about it, then it's clearly not rewarded. Much in the same way that 2v1 warring is not "rewarded" by the game, even though you're almost guaranteed to win every war you get if you have your friends hitting them too.
(and that's why you need to able to raze into wars)
Also, no one is "rewarding" bullying/unsportsmanlike behavior. They're defending a kingdom that was getting bullied by a group of kingdoms that decided to take a punishment way too far and break deals along the way.
Thats a pretty naive approach though, they arent defending anyone cause they felt whatever side is doing something wrong. They are doing it for fun of it and the age is over. If there would still be a crown race going on and the winner not decided nobody would have lift a finger to help em out. Not those that participate for crown at least.Quote:

The reason they're participating is because the age is over. That doesn't really have much to do with who they're razing though. Admittedly, BB wouldn't be caught dead razing FS, at least not without something incredibly serious being proven against them. At best they just wouldn't get involved and not raze anyone.
People are razing the side that promotes their best interest, whether that be personally, for the kd, or for the game. Even if they're just bored because it's EoW, they're not just going to start razing a kingdom that's going to come back and bite them.
So you are saying the community likes being bottomfed on, deal broke, hit into hostile, intimidated, etc? Who decides who the police is? Who decides what the community doesn't like?
Again I am not even complaining about being policed. This is not about if we deserved punishment, I stated myself that we did.
BUT we were policed for 19k acres and 10k honor or so before there was even an investigation. Matter of fact until last night for example pale had no idea we even got policed(and I can't prove this part but pretty sure Zauper was surprised when I told him as well). We still haven't been showed evidence and will not be shown evidence. They did conclude that my kingdom is not linked to a gb. Someone somewhere mentioned that my kingdom was hitting FS...I could have told them that.
You can't convict someone without looking at evidence. Then carry out a sentence...and after the fact change the verdict to justify the sentence.
The proper way would be to bring up charges
check if charges are substantiated
Give the accused access to evidence and give them a chance to defend themselves
render the verdict
carry out the sentence
And yes I have the logs. This time I will be more diligent as you called it. Trust doesn't come cheap anymore.
Aren't you trying to intimidate utopia into acting a way that falls into line with what you think is the "right" way to play? How are you any different than the "morally corrupt" top that you find to be so objectionable?
This isn't the Unites States Supreme Court. You can't cite the bill of rights for what is or is not a razable offense. There is no due-process or a presumption of innocence. You need exactly as much evidence as it take to convince you that someone is guilty. No more, no less.
