Goodluck both!
Anris great maxgain strat pwnz!
Feels like all the shait that was going on that simians slipped on it
July 19 of YR10 Our prolonged hostility with Simians KLA vs Pew Pew (5:1) has forced us into a WAR
disagree, simians played this VERY well. Thing is the way they played it is literally the only way a human kd can beat an orc kd if both kds start out similarly sized and equally pumped. The reason Simians even has a chance is because pewpew didnt random out into other kds. Had pewpew been willing to hit outside their hostile w/simians it'd of been over long ago.
That is if PewPew plundered other kds they could have sustained a retrain and netted a huge economy boost that would have completely negated any chance simians had to tank the orc damage. As well if pewpew gotten feed off of by other kds due to the randoms it would have actually benefited them as simians would have no land to recover. The orcs of pewpew would have bleed NW via acres they didn't want anyway netting them a better bpa in nw range attacks. They could then continue hitting down simians oow.
The only risk u run is a 15 kd gb but even so its not like hiting a feary kd w/humans, orcs+those big fearies sustain well enough that they could of survived most of the damage.
Simians has never at any point had a chance at winning this. I would have played it entirely differently if they actually had some kind of chance. They are doing their acre grab and will WD at an optimal point. We shall see how much they will get.
what did i tell you all? human blows.

EDIT: Could be something wrong with the summary is see now but gains look accurate.
Palem I spent a while looking for this post to reply to it because I've been thinking about it since I first read it.
Some reasons:
- There's a clear winner for wars, whereas hostiles may have no firm resolution one way or the other. Wars end when one side gets totally beaten or decides they're done.
- Wars demand more activity than a hostile.
I also think it counts more because it radically changes the game dynamics. If it didn't mean more, TFC wouldn't have to worry about pushing the button, but you do; I assume primarily because of the attack times. Hostile changes these mechanics slightly but not as radically as war. Prop and AW opening up is also a significant change to strategy.
It's just a bigger achievement than milking a hostile, even if you are successful at making their lives miserable.
Finally, I think your own recent post in the Masks thread kind of answers your own question:
You're right, it's a huge game-changer for a top kingdom to lose a war. But it might be manageable if they just go hostile. It's just clear that the effect on the game a war has is greater than a hostile. Which is why it's worth more :P
How else could we declare. We OOR from a normal declaration. We took the meter as close as we could and tried to time it the best way possible.
