It's still got a penalty to T.
It's still focused on infrastructure.
It's still got expensive elites, that aren't the best offensive units in the game.

There is no dwarf thievery penalty anymore. Expensive elites? Dont run them, you have a 6 o spec, no need for hospitals problem solved. Dwarf has always been based on infrastructure, as has EVERY province. You have a **** build, you province sucks. Just with dwarf its easier to maximise bonuses.

If you can't afford to keep your elites up as a Dwarf/Artisan then you are doing something terribly wrong.

And then you're dwarf/arti, and you start warring and the first thing you receive is a gold dragon... and the entire province set-up falls to pieces. The avian with 90opa/dpa might not have the great reducers, yet he simply is untouchable by the weak dwarfies. Great fun war.. for the avians.

Yeah, you can probably get 2 good waves in a min time war while the gold drake is alive. The dwarves benefit greatly from killing it fast. After that you're hitting into -50% gains and potentially fog again, and with their BE up again dorfies can match avian for army strength pretty well.

GS needs fixed, the game is boring when defensive buildings are too strong. Well, it's dorf that breaks them, but I doubt they'll make any considerable changes to races or personalities at this point. GS should be unaffected by BE and artisan bonus imo.

Rule number 1 for newbe's is to be assertive, to communicate, be active and eager and to get to know the good players. That could mean kingdom hopping until a decent one is found. Preferably good players with a network.

Balance is fun. Over dominance of one race is not fun. OMAC, I implore you to PLEASE rebalance these races, nerf dwarf!

We need balance, it's what utopia is built on. Each race needs to balance against the others, otherwise you get pure domination of 1 or 2 races. Take away fog from dwarves, take BE down to 10%, take away the off spec bonus, anything!

artisan was good because it was the only pers that gave a pop bonus,

now its definately nice in combination with dorf, but BE isnt enough, and artisans small pop bonus through homes is less than what sage\shep will give, probably warrior is stronger now in an active attackers hands than artisan

warrior, sage and shep are powerhouses in thier own right too,

as for races, hyper active avains, or pumped human thieves with a good strat and army\tpa could definately challenge dorfs, removing fog would be key, but thats not hard before a chain, but next age it probably will be,

dorf artisan with some BE sci will hae near 200% guild coverage, near mystics dbl guild bonus, means a good wpa, hard to MV, but also that harms dorfs already mediocre population, to run a high wpa, they lose out on more militery power, where they dont match humans, or avain return time

Somebody didn't read the changes. Shep has +10% Pop bonus.

Bonus don't multiply beyond their caps... so while dwarf may "start out" with 37.5 gains, but. in 1v1 orc warrior would quickly own any dwarf.


Add in your attack + 30%
The retal

and after the dwarf gains land, he will still have to wait
A) 14 hours if your first attack was a raze
B) another 14 hours to build up the land HE took from YOU

meaning if you hit the dwarf/artisan in this time period, he'll be much weaker and will just keep getting weaker.

Especially if he's a rainbow.


Remember, it's not about what the "best race" is, nor the best combo... but what the "best combo for you to help your kingdom" is. We may yet need Elf mystics, or.... human thieves (sorry gnome, I don't allow small, filthy and smelly animals in the house).
