For everyone talking sh!t in here:
We have nothing to do with this. We reported it to David ourselves and stopped hitting them. I hope admins do the right thing and stop the war soon cause these noobs(aka barta apparently) are just being a pain in the a$$ and try to do ops and do abducts. It is no interest for us to farm anyone and asked David to remove all the land we took:
- Traditional march: 56 (881 acres)
Overall this hurts us more than it helps us as soon as we do not benefit from Prosperous stance and we released quite some troops to get in war range.
Hope this clears things out for now and owners of the game solve this asap!
PS: not 100% sure it's bart who did this but if it's him he should be banned from joining this game again, and same should happen to anyone that is destroying this game and the fun for others!

well 3 hits don't give a hostile. if this was a smaller kingdom taking hits you would tell them to learn diplo. They have diligently been working on ways to stop nw dropping but yet you go out of your way to figure out how to do exactly that anyway. You could have stayed your size and retalled and maybe even take some extra acres. Instead you took it to war. Now you want to not hit and cry foul? The minute you stopped hits you made it a fake war, if it wasn't one before this already. At least in the past kingdoms were told to keep hitting as long as they are at war or be considered in fake war.Quote:

We came OOP on zero offense so of course it wasnt planned. To us, it looked like a ghetto trying to get easy acres by hitting and offering war to a kd with 0 offense all across the kd. Of course we trained some off OOP (elites) with stocked sols/gc and planned to train alot the coming 24h in prosperous stance and pump build.
We figured we would get hit OOP and explored land the hour before coming OOP to cover the land we expected to lose, hoping to get a few buttons to use once trained up. That some ghetto comes and hit our faeries together with another kd and offers war seemed like a better version of staying oow pumping and getting buttons (in this scenario we got a button/war right away, lose some land first day and take it back the next day then pump in eowcf instead of prosperous stance).
Unfortunately it turned out to be Bart possibly wanting to chartshape or just mess with the game/admins, which I was told by friends after the declaration. We then tried to get in contact with admins to get advice on what to do (holding hits while getting an answer) and Coss told David that he didnt mind getting the war nullified and the acres taken in the war retracted (which in total would mean we lose out as we lost the chance to robb inactives OOP with our 2-2.5 raw tpa and pump cheap elites). Once 8:6 started hitting us again upon their troops returning, we started hitting back as we arent planning on getting set back cause someone offers us a war.
Doubt anyone else would have acted differently.
The admins can also easily read the ingame messages between coss and the monarch of 8:6 (Bart?), plus there is witnesses in 8:6 that can attest to the fact we had no idea who it was and that this wasnt planned. It just turned bad as the story of 8:6 unfolded.
I know how it looks from the outside thou so I dont judge anyone for crying foul play. I would had cried fw too if I just looked at it from the outside having no inside information. Hopefully the issue is resolved by the admins soon as we dont want this to taint our age.

Cliff notes of what happened from my view inside the kd - our KD hit sleepy's faeries seeing their whole kd on basically 0 offense and them just hitting prosperity. Then our king (who i didn't realize was bart at the time) starts pming with coss and **** talking, bart offers a war and says its fine they're OOR to push it. So, I don't think you can call this a "fake" war, it certainly wasn't planned on agreed upon. Bart is claiming 8:6 needs an eow cf to raze off/wait to kill inactives (half of the kd) and reorganize the kd/pump, so i guess just a blatant chart shape and/or an attempt to get sleepy off the charts and/or an attempt at pissing off the devs?

I'm certainly not trying to troll just stating what I find does not match, you blame this on Bart yet your own kingdom did the war offer that was accepted, while everyone could easily see it is a scrub kingdom most likely filled with inactives and randoms.
If you did a nw drop is that something you do so you can get in range of random scrub kingdoms to offer a war? If the king there was not working with you how come it got accepted, it might make sense to threten a drawn out hostile or something, but offering and accepting a war does not benifit the smaller kingdom at all.
Is it even verified Bart was the king of that kingdom? And even if he is did Coss not state that he considder himself to be on relatively good terms with Bart quite recently in another thread? why would he do this to get you actioned then?
It might be that you are right and have been set up, but things are rather fishy as it started as a result of you offering war, I bet this other kingdom hardly had the capacity to give you a button by hitting. As I also stated it is to muddy for me to figure out, and I'm happy I'm not the one that needs to investigate this, but something smells and it is not a pleasant smell.
