I have a useless 9 raw wpa (17 mod wpa) because of some bug and look what ppl create now .. more drama. Can't you just play this damn game without so much drama in it ?
Tools that auto cast spells .. wtf is wrong if you guys ? Don't you wanna actualy PLAY this game ? What's the fun to go do something else and some program to play for you ?

The problem is, all active players know about these tools. Current policy is understandable, but it's like putting on a blindfold, because you can't detect the use of tools you allow them as long as they aren't spoken about.

Thundergore by your definition Angel should be banned because it calculates defenses and bonuses simply by copying pages. We don't use our own fingers to calculate that info, so it should be illegal no?
And before Bishop goes down the "chasing squirrels" argument again, I am fairly sure I can catch at least one squirrel while some nub without Angel is manually calcing an attack.

angel is a calculator, by your extrapolation of Thundergores definition calc.exe should be banned because you are calcing numbers without using your brain! in fact, your brain should probably be banned because you are calcing numbers using automation provided to you by your teachers etc. have you yourself proved that 1 + 1 really = 2?
Ok, i think i have ridden this analogy horse to death - in summary, automating a game action is bad - adding a number is not a game action.
I think Bishop already touched on there being a line drawn in sand (possibly by a non-automated person, possibly by an automated person) here. Your browser/'enter' key/fingers/brain etc could be argued to be automation.
We're playing with words, arguing with definitions, debating philosophies of language. It's fascinating but ranges from unnecessary to off topic. That isn't a large range.
For now we're referring to one tool in particular and so far we've been clear on that.
Future changes to rules or regulations regarding the usage of such tools aren't ruled out but would need to be run past the devs who are, as they announced, rather busy.
