If i had spots u'd be welcome in my kd too palem, just eat the war loss grow some and make Araqiel/ebolaids FREE'S problem. Either they deal with them as ex players and help u get CF's up to stop the hits and police the players as they defect or u punish them as its their ex players.Quote:

The difference I see is that before Palem rejoined FWB, peace was made with FREE and it's members. Agreements that were ignored by Araqiel, although no-one from FREE leadership (as far as I know) stepped up to choose Araqiel's side. So this is a vendetta from Araqiel.
When Palem left FWB, he didn't have any agreements with FREE or it's members, so he didn't have to follow the non-existing agreement. Palem stopped his vendetta as soon as an agreement with FREE's leadership was worked out and afterwards he joined FWB again.
In short, there may be some similarities at a quick glance (personal vendetta's, oow razes etc.), but the details (agreements) that make up a significant difference. At least at term of morale, ****play etc.
so is it acceptable on morale & ****play standarts, when you raze into ppl's wars because you dont have agreements with them? i think araqiel could argue that he didnt make the agreement himself & disagreed with leadership, resulting in his leave..Quote:

As a last measure to make a point after serious disagreements and/or serious ****play/dealbreak by the other party, I find oow razes in a certain amount acceptable. With all these complicated cases I believe the reason given by the one doing the razes is an important factor. Declarations like "I am just helping raze smercjd beause I dont like him and I am an asshole" seems to me like poor ad hominem arguments. Posting under another name seems to me as contra-productive if you want to make a point, even if the point is the above citation. I believe Araqiel should at least try to make a decent statement.

It is nearly impossible to persuade people to join Utopia, but when I share a few of Palems forum posts, people are suddenly excited about playing just to spite him. The best part is I took inspiration from the raze strat he employed on FREE and we are now using it with impunity.

i totally disagree with razing over serious disagreements - this would make utopia a razefest all around, and would force me to start razing you now.. serious ****play/dealbreak is the only precedent for oow razes & i dont think there was neither of those from free to palem/smercjd.. we can live by disagreements or broken egos, but we cant really live with a toxic environment of ****plays & dealbreaks..Quote:

Stats so far. Lot of people on their side are on very low tpa, compensating this with high watchtowers and CS. We've massacred a lot of their TMs aswell, expecting to increase the gap pretty soon.

Personally, I think the T Swift onslaught through being a decent singer, decent songwriter and a bit hot is one of the greatest pieces of marketing to your audience of modern pop music.
Whoever worked out that girl next door country pop was what America was clamouring for at the time is a guru.
She's just hot enough, just poppy enough, just good enough at songwriting to appeal to most.
There's genius in hitting so many lowest bases and selling to them. :)

Final stats. Land-distribution isn't completely right in here, as we LLed quite a lot more than they did. We strated the war on 26K acres, were 31.5K after war. They started on 25K, and were about 21K after war.

It was a well fought war. Was up 1000 acres and a good chunk of honor for a good portion of the war, and finished -100 and sub-honor. FWB were formidable during the entirety, a lot of great exchanges. Best of luck to them in the future.

Congratulations Noble Spartans! And excellent choice for a war partner FWB. I've been in 2 losing wars with Spartans but always had fun. Good luck to both sides in future endeavors.

The outside razes were annoying of course, but that's about all they were. Spartans was a tough opponent and we almost came back from the bad start - but we need to get our TMs in line cause I was the only one running MS... D: lol You can tell by the honor. If not for the pre-war hit from one of those big KDs and the oversend at dragon (before the WD, I sent before reading our vote) I would be duke :( lol
Lot of fight in Spartans - best of luck for the rest of the age. Just please try to honor personal requests from the KDs you war next time. (Like asking to not be broadcast in the forums - that's a pretty big one...) Don't want to go to much into this because I don't want to reveal Spartans tactics/strategy. But definitely some new tactics I saw from other wars and I learned quite a lot!! ^_^ Good stuff, keep fighting and win that WW chart!
I honestly thought it was directed towards in-game warforums, and Palem even edited both our banners in my message, so I doubt Palem had big probs with it.
The intra-razes did indeed help a bit, but that was only the bottom fight. We were great during the first 24 hours, but after we had taken such a huge lead and expecting an early win (I even turned sci on again), some of my players slacked a bit. My highest offense UD, made a costly double-bounce which nearly took him out of the war. I think one of the things FWB should do is to chain deeper, especially on those provinces with no land incoming. Put an 80K off prov without incoming land on 100 acres and he has to release 60K of that off, put him on 300 acres and he still has 60K off left. Huge difference. UD/tacticians are very tough to war against, as their off doesn't die off and WTs + CS are just so strong at blocking thievery.
You guys didn't pull out min-time as we expected, and yet my people kept slacking, thinking it was in the bag. A costly low-acre conquest by our second highest acre UD nearly took him out of the war (should've taken him out of the war). After a huge tantrum by me (I was furious) and some harsh words spoken, we got our act together and start using big Orcs to massacre enemy TMs. We deepchained one of FWBs provinces, who subsequently was razed to death by outside hits (this helped him more than hurt him I think). The next day we managed to PK their Steward. Fighting 23 v22 now instead of 23v24, we started to get enough breathing space at the top to stop TMing. These are the moments that Orcs really thump Undeads. Taking sidehits with high gains, and a 25% stronger massacre. We took out FWB's TMing capabilities while they tried to landchain our mystics. The chains were too slow though, and with the province I was sitting I was able to cast whatever I wanted (10 raw wpa and 200% sci at one point). We created a few landfarms (massacred and razed attackers) and once we had put one of their 1800-acre UDs on 2 dpa through NS our TMs started doubling, tripling and quadding him. At the same time our chained mystics could LL back land from those provinces (easily 10-20 a pop at 400 acres). After we channeled that land upwards it was only a matter of time before the war would end. We sent 2 dragons within 24 hours, started max-gaining acres using the gains of our orc-warriors/tacticians to rape large chunks of land.
On the last dragon Smercjd sent too much, so we started conquesting him. I have no idea whether it was a coincidence or not, but 15 minutes after our first conquest they surrendered.
