He doesn't care about his rep/utopia because he has absolutely no reason to outside of perhaps some friends he has and general empathy for a game he used to play long ago, and afaik, has no plans on rejoining. What he cares about is stingerbot because that's what he invests his time into. If every utopian speaks up and says "I'm absolutely not going to play in a kingdom with stinger/munk, but I'd be happy to use their tools." (and they mean it), which one loses more? You're just being obtuse if you say they both lose the same.

But we've gotten away from the point I was trying to make. "I trust that munk isn't abusing munkbot for his own personal gain, but I don't trust him with my intel." isn't a logical stance to take on the matter. You either think Munk doesn't/isn't going to abuse his resources, or you don't. If you don't trust munk just say "I don't trust munk with my intel" lol

I've used both stinger and munk. And trust them both with my intel. But the integrity of the argument BoH and others put forward holds stronger than yours Palem. Both probably care about their rep. Both would loose users if it got out they were abusing their tools. Both could "sell" intel (if they were willing and had buyers). But only Munk would benefit on a playing level.

I'd like to echo this.

I'd add in rebuttal to Palem that I don't think mink gives a rats bum about if pandas wants to play with him. You'd also have the opposite of that where people might want to play with him more if they knew he'd help them win even if it meant cheating. We all know Utopians like to live in the grey area and this cheating would be within the rules.

I'll say again because it can't be said enough, Mink has abused his power in removing his prov and or kd from the tf.

Just track wars and wait for them to go out of EoWCF. People are generally stacked with money. You can track wars for free.

Thats so dumb, he cares about his repuation, if he wants people to use Stingerbot. They both have to maintain a decent repuation for people to use their tools.

He cares about his reputation only as far as far he wants people to use his bot, that doesn't extend into the game at all. Munk's care for his reputation extends way further than Stingers because he's actually still playing and competing.

For example. I don't play Earth Empires, but let's say I develop a bot that people use and I have some friends there. Do I give the slightest of damns if people in-game hate my guts and call me a cheater or whatever if they're still using my bot? Hell no I don't.

Palem, I guess u can compare Stingers contribution to the game to yours? He doesnt play anymore, but he still cares. You quit, then stepped down as a mod, but then u started back up again. So u still care about the game.

Palem, Stinger never asks for donations. EVER! He has updated bot/script so many times and fixed stuff without me donating to him.Always responsive. And for the record I have never played with Stinger

I believe both munk and stinger are fine individuals who host and develop great tools. I question neither of their integrity.

I really dont know why peeps are picking on Stinger so much. I <3 that dude, hes always done right by me. His bot is great, whenever u want something added he will add it. OFC he wants donations, but he has never asked for it. I suppose its the lack of his forum/irc presence.

I <3 munk as well, he adds requests as well, but not until there is a donation. I 100% understand that, cuz I would never spend that much time on a game, if it was a losing financial situation.

At the end of the day, i think we all need to remember that stinger and munk are providing a service for 3600 players

I would say Bishop and Palem are more comparable to Stinger since neither plays in a competitive kd. And neither have used their power in the past abusively, unlike munk.
