vines, i really dont get what you are saying. You just keep changing your mind and what your scientific proofs say. And the things that we ordinary mortals can understand are just plain bull****.

Its still a fact that you said that in THE LONG RUN, its better to have NO SCIENCE. You cannot change that. And now when you realised how wrong you were, you just start talking about some random jibberish. Admit that you have been wrong in eveything we have discussed this far, give up and try to learn somethng instead.

Not necessarily, for example: Lets assume im a gnome with +200% thief effectiveness. Youre a orc with +0% thif effectiveness.
I have 1 Raw Tpa. You have 2 Raw Tpa.
My mod tpa: 1*2*1.4=2.8 Mod Tpa
Your mod tpa: 2=2 Mod Tpa

Oh my goodness I'll say it again the greater the raw output of a province the greater the MOD out put.
Do not think of it in terms of race. Think of it in terms of Raw and MOD. If one's province has a high raw out put in tream of gc, military unit/acre, military eff, tpa/wpa. Then the greater affect modification will have have on that province via science and honor. For example if a Orc had 2tpa raw and got 20% crime science the mod would be greather vs. an gnome with gnome with 1.5rawtpa. The gnome will have a higher MODtpa but to the degree in which the science modified the raw tpa will be less.

Not if the gnome has higher modifiers! And in that case he wont need very much to get more mod tpa than the orc. Its enought with like +15% effeciency from either sci or td's.

If you are going to quote me quote read the post. It is clear you didn't do that.

From what i can tell from your post, you are stating that 1.5<2, and that modifiers affects higher numbers more than lower numbers. But not very much else that is very useful.

vines, you're extremely confusing now (still). Would you please comment on my vines-math numbers and check if they're correct this time? And stop trying to change the subject with some bizarre comparison between orcs and gnomes, you said already to stop thinking about race as this is about science. Fact remains, getting at least moderate science levels is super important for your province no matter your strategy. It will improve both your growth rate and overall strength with very nice returns on your investment. You haven't presented a single comprehensible argument against it, except some numbers that were based on science giving 90x as much NW as they in fact do.

That is the whole reason I hold off on science until I can get the raw out puts that I want. Other wise it makes fine tuning a build much harder.

is this your first age vines? because you sound like you are new to the game. and above all, i see you discuss strategy in each and every thread, being wrong each and every time.

listen to this: getting "the raw out puts" is easy if you stagnate a little. that tough thing in this game is to get everything maxed while growing. finding a balance on how much to invest in each field is the key. As Catwalk said, it is critical to get moderate amounts of science, and that is why you have to invest in science too. First invested science points are even more useful.

This isn't his first age, I've had this same exact argument with him in my kingdom a few ages ago. Some of you guys have a lot more patience than I do.

Nope we are not we just got out of a war three days ago. Before we strated looking for a war I was 500acres by the end of the war I had more than doubled my size and I was still going strong but the king backed out. People say I'm doing everything wrong, yet for some reason I get great results.

And you never considered that there might be a reason why your king "backed out"? I would guess becuase he was targetted. Maybe you only attacked opponents much smaller than yourself, leaving alot of def at home, making your friends take the hits instead. Another reason could be that the enemy didnt see you as a threat, and therefore just didnt target you.

That you grow in a war isnt a proof that your prov is solid.

How your province fares in war is to a large extent random and not necessarily related to how good you are as a player or how strong your province is. In fact, it's often inversely related to province strength against good kingdoms, as strong provinces are targeted more often. Chances are they left your province alone because it was mostly harmless.

He was not targetted in fact I told there king if he attack our king I would attack him. And that keep him from attacking our king. The reason my and my team mate think is because he must had to go inactive a day or so. Harmless? dude I double my size in that war. I had arund 300+ unbuilt acres. Because in war staces my military can bust out 70opa/70dpa. Shocking I know. I don't even know how my province does it to tell you the truth.

Yes, I would consider you quite harmless. Were you overpopulated when posting those numbers above? Either that, or you ran 50% homes, or you're lying.
