The mechanics allow you to wave a kd outside of war for pretty decent honour gains. Everyone has the same opportunity to use it to their advantage when it's suitable. Yet you punish someone for doing it?
The funniest part is that this is done for the honor crown of all.
From what I've heard SS had some unreasonable demands.
Also, it's unfair to compare the situations Divinity is in and FS is in, essentially Divinity has nothing to lose and are more willing to land drop for an easy war without much risk involved, on the other hand FS have everything to lose sitting on #1 honor spot being presented with demands that could potentially jeopardize this position. I wouldn't necessarily call it bullying, more in the zone of protecting your own resources and interests from others.

I don't feel like it's shameful to try and crown if you are open about it, it's shameful to try and hide it, although from what I've been told FS wasn't even trying to crown this age, just refresh the roster and such (actually I wasn't told what it was just that it wasn't crowning) and this will be a good lesson for all I imagine. I guess it became more of a thing when it became a real possibility after winning six wars in a row.

Where did this entitlement attitude come from that any particular kingdom is REQUIRED to meet you for diplomacy and then not hit you if you say "we are arranging to war some one else". FS did what was best for their kingdom in their eyes which is what every kingdom does. They had no reason nor obligation to offer you diplomacy immediately, nor did they any obligation to call off their wave just because you asked. Old utopia was not like this.
Honour crown was definitely not secured. 1 war by anyone else in the top 5 in honour could easily propel them above FS into the #1 spot. Claiming that they had it all wrapped up is foolishness. They're trying to get enough of an honour lead that even if a war win is secured by someone else in the top 5 right at eoa that they'd still keep their honour crown. If you were in their place and honour crown was your goal, you'd do the exact same thing. You can't control the other kds from warring each other but you can control your own actions. Concerning them offering to LD to SS for a fight, I don't have confirmation either way that it happened but I know they had offered some of the other top 5 kds that I know that kind of deal. I do assume at some that at some point SS were offered a fight this age by FS, at least once or twice. It's possible they didn't want to land drop to fight SS now because they could find themselves in the same position SS is in now with someone else in the top 5-10 in honour staring them down from a superior position afterwards and didn't want to take that risk? Which is certainly reasonable if that's the case.

They are actually right. What enforces against this behavior should be the community not the game. The fact that the community is still debating what to me is an obvious case (most arguments here put up a straw man which does not relate to the issue at hand) - baffles me.
The community, by FS logic, can also take any action for which "there is nothing in the game that disallows it". And I think it should.
But... I've never been vocal in the community and obviously it has it's set up and inertia that make it not conform to reason alone. That's understandable. Defending the lack of action against FS with logic - isn't.
