wildfire - 'grats. :) I didn't know it was March, or I would have sent a card or something. ^_^ welcome to the club. With enough work and hope, you'll have as good a time as I'm having. I think it's a blast. There are always going to be issues. it's when you take sides against each other on things that there's a problem. weather or not you like it or don't (this goes for him too), if there's a disagreement, someone's gotta give or it's the marriage that loses something. It's better to just try and be the first person who finds a happy medium.
I know you've been in that relationship longer than I have been in mine, but it's always good to hear again. Besides, it all changes when you get married. :) EVERYTHING changes.

I'm still around as far as Desole goes, but to be blunt I just haven't felt any motivation to post recently. That's not intended as an excuse or to absolve myself of any blame, it's just the way things are at the moment - trying to find employment has eaten up a lot of my time.
I'm still interested in the thread and I do plan to keep posting, I just hope people aren't waiting on me when they can freely RP my character if they need to as Arkady encouraged at the start of the thread.
The death of said threads seems to often coincide with my absence, for which I am dutifully sorry.
That being said, I'm back. It'll take me a little time to get back into gear, but as you can see, I've started posting. It's often hard for me to go straight back into character, but Alice's character is a little closer to heart than I originally intended.
Plus, the best way for me to get back into action is to introduce a new element. Please welcome an old familiar, Gerald Gade. Mister Tall Dark and Insane will be serving as our delightful antagonist, for as I realized, we have none thus far.
I'm sorry guys, I've been busy and feeling very unmotivated as well, but I just posted for Furious...
and hopefully I'll get up another post for Desole soon. But I think I'm running out of ideas to post by myself, so I would need some interaction soon, but I don't think it's a good think to jump into ark/matt-thing right now. so I'll wait a bit with that.

I do know that Nate (Byelotsar) was having some issues with where he was living (moving, I think) and a heavy work and school load. Add into that some family drama (family death) and its no big idea that the game fell to the wayside. It's a shame, but you can't fault a guy for trying to survive. I didn't keep any of the posts from Legacy, but if I can get in touch with Nate, I'll ask if he has them. We were good friends, but have recently fallen out of touch. Wow, things have really dropped here... thought I'd mention I'm still around and contemplating an early return. I spoke to an alumni in our organization who has been published and he definitely inspired me to keep writing. More likely towards June for a possible return.
In other news, I've taken to playing a couple new video games (Suikoden V and Last Remnant) and they've been helping with the inspiration as well ^_^
I've been playing RTS games and utopia kingdoms when i can.

I'm back. Graduated from college, about to start working in the real world. I was on vacation, but now I have about two weeks at home. Haven't done any writing lately.
Can't figure out whether or not the real world will afford me more or less time for this ol hobby of mine. But you'll likely be hearing from me very soon.

Being that i'll be in asia for 2 months, i probably will not be able to roleplay while i'm in china or vietnam, however when i get to new zealand, i probably will be able to in a fairly regular basis. I'll be doing a lot the year i'm there, but hey, i'll make time. doesn't take much time to do URP. :) Just a lot of thought.
Well, that's the update for now. only 3-1/2 months to go! :) busy months!
Agh! Got a little sidetracked and have been enjoying the break. My job has ended and I've moved on to traveling. I'm currently in Rotterdam, heading to Spain Tuesday, then Jordan at the end of the month. Will be back home at the end of Aug and will make my comeback then... I just hope the boards here can last that long. Seems like the boards are on a life machine.
The published alumni's name is Faudet Bode (there are accents on both e's i neglected to put on). His work was not in the fiction genre.
Kind of going through a reexamination of what to do next. The plan was to go work abroad for a year or so, but the more I think about it the less I want to do something in the business world. I'm sure more than ever to try my hand at actually writing something for the first time ever, so will most likely be living with my parents and living in poverty for awhile - but at least I'll be happy pursuing a dream ^_^

I've always felt Marc, it will never die unless those on it do. I think we'll always have URP, even if there isn't one to write on. Google makes it so easy these days to connect our emails in a sort of forum, I see it as a last resort. Once this place is gone.
Which I hope doesn't happen for a very long time. As long as we stay in touch, URP survives.
Haha, I'm basically doing a tour to go see friends I have in a variety of places throughout the world. Petra, definitely there's also stuff like Wadi Rum and the chance to do weekend trips to Jerusalem and Beirut. She be a good time.
I agree, it won't totally die, but it's getting quieter. Will have to try to go old school and actually post frequently, seems to be the key to keeping people engaged ^_^
When are you going on your own trip? I'm thinking about saving up some money to do more traveling after New Years (Canadian winters aren't the most fun). Australia / New Zealand could be nice ^_^

Work yes, doing what? Not a clue. I thought I'd take my hand at sheep shearing and bartending honestly. Amy can bartend and do Massage Therapy (technically so could I. it doesn't require a license there).
October - December we're doing an asian backpacking tour (we're alone; let's not be ambiguous here with the word 'tour'... ;p).
From Late December/January we're going to make our way down, probably taking a day or two in Darwin and/or Sydney (they're our most probable stops on budget airlines) while we enjoy a more western culture... slightly... lol
Then it is Auckland after that (we HAVE to land there. Can't enter any other way for our visa), and we start our quest for work. We don't even really know where we're going to stay. No friends or family in the area, however my best guess is initially staying in Dunedin in the south of the south island. It will be their summer and probably the best time for Amy to live that south. Doesn't matter to me, but she doesn't do well with the cold. She hates it. I love it. We'll find a compromise somewhere. :) Other than that. Not sure.
We have a travel blog we'll use. I need to get it from her an post it here before we go.
