What to do with KDs not WDing?

We are in a war thats been won for days, and the other KDs is not showing signs of considering a honorable WD.. They are still marching although we are destroying their TMs and Hybrids (where the rest of their puny nw lies), and its becoming very, very booring.. I know they auto wd's when they hit 50% of Our nw, but we are a warring KD and thats a long way off.. and surrendering to them is like the US surrendering to the Taliban.. How do we make this silliness stop?

Im thinking the mechanics allow for KDs to bore others to Death, and it's killing the fun.. Maybe the devs need to make the war mechanics better, and not allow ppl to stay in war just out of spite?

Start killing off provinces.


But part of winning a war is to convince the other part that you won.

Take all their stuff. That is the whole point of war after all....

First of all, you haven't won yet. You win if you either become double the other kd's nw or when you convince the other kingdom to withdraw. Looks like you haven't done so yet. There's no such thing as having won for days but still fighting on. If they are fighting on for whatever reason, it's up to you to find out what it is and hit them in the right spot. However, no kingdom should be forced to give up or reveal their strategies for any other reason than that they want to.

Also, whining about the other kingdom not withdrawing is usually a good indication that you aren't actually winning the war. If you would be winning by that big of a margin, you wouldn't be whining about them not quitting; you'd be begging them to continue a bit longer, just so you can farm more off of them. A prolonged war is usually a major blessing to any t/m since they can whore so much more honour and therefore be so much more efficient in future wars.

So, how to make the silliness stop? Well, either drop them to 50% your nw or give up the war. That's all the factors you can control directly. If you can't do the first 1, you aren't winning by that big of a margin as you claim and your opponent probably sees that aswell.

When warring, it's nice if you can get warwin in 2 days, but always expect to have to war for at least 2 weeks.

Yah.. right.. ofc, you can say that.. but the thing is, there is no way for THEM to win - so why give up all their honor and land to US.. we want to move on and win more WARs, not be bogged Down With a bunch of guys (NEVER TO BE WARRED AGAIN EVER) who doesnt know when to wd.. I like the fiirst suggestion :D

Well.. for anyone knowint the right eu adress, KD names and locations are of Equal value.. so the entire rule is silly

So what I'm seeing here is you come asking for advice, are given advice and don't like it, then refuse to give further information when asked for it? Silly indeed :)

EDIT: You've pretty much been told what you need to do. If you're a warring kingdom and 50% NW is a long way off, then you're far from winning by even a remotely decisive margin. If you can already tell that they don't intend to withdraw then you better dig in and get ready for a drawn-out war.

In our latest war we used two and half days destroying our opponents ability fight. In that time they had gained more acres to grow about 15% from original size. They were also slightly ahead in honour.

Then we switched to max (honour) gains. It took us two ticks before they WD. WD happened before all of our attackers managed to join the max gains but we gained over 4k honour and practically all lost land in two ticks. We won the war but lost 50 acres. I was thinking already around min time that it would be smart move for them to withdraw when they still were ahead in acre and honour. I suspect that they tough we were losing until we switched to the max gains.

Of course your situation doesn't sound like you would be fighting a losing war with large initial gains. but still it should be fairly quick to gain double NW if you are clearly winning. You just need to make sure that all your UB provinces build very strong economy to raise NW fast.

If your complaining in the war forums as you are here, thats probably a major reason they wont withdraw.Diplomacy works wonders in wars.Honorable as you mentioned goes both ways.
If your talking noise to them they probably wont end it just because.
If they feel they haven't lost then they haven't.

Been many people that have swore after 2 days they have won only to lose not long after.Not all wars end after 2 days.

Start pumping your provinces too, put in banks etc. By increasing your NW youll end it fairly fast

The "rule" is no target sharing (i.e. telling/asking people to hit another kingdom). No locations allowed is just an extension of that rule to curb any lame attempts at their start.

Users are allowed, and encouraged, to talk about other kingdoms and strategy, just so long as the forums aren't used to encourage others.
