No.
QF, Mystic aura, ambush with free build vs orcs. It could be interesting. I know Pew mentioned having some regulars taking a break this age.
if you know what you're doing, ambush isn't half the problem nubs think it is.
Not quite the time for this one yet, but keep this thread for later in the age I'd guess.
BB was not aware we were already in notice with another top 5 KD. Due to a clause in our deal neither of us can notice if the other KD is already in notice/hostile/war etc with another top 5 KD, RBL, or CR. We approached BB yesterday to let them know we would be busy elsewhere and offered to extend so they could keep pumping in peace instead of prepping as we consider ourselves to be on good terms with them. It seemed like the courteous thing to do considering the drama of the past few ages with KDs running off into arranged wars 1 hour before notices expire.
After speaking to BB today they said they've done nothing wrong so we can assume the notice is retracted.
Nothing fun to see here (yet), move along.
Pewpew noticed pyros which are 65% of their size in land and 63% of their NW.
This is purely lolworthy.
Bump! Just kidding*
Agreed on ambush noobium. I adopted an Orc Cleric once and it actually played more archetypically than my Undead Clerics for gap strategies. I welcomed most ambushes from the top because my credits were closer to acres taken. At the same time this forced those attackers to be fat. Some of those were dwarves. At that time I hadn't put together the idea of hitting dwarf prior to builds coming in, but that must've been what I was doing.
If Pew waved in an elliptical and ambushed at variable intervals I could see some traction.
- all academic. I respect the decision by Pew to navigate an intelligent path. -
It's those humans Procy. They are the bedbugs of utopian races! Good luck whatever comes your way.
picking on pyros worked out well for havoc, either way I should logon and do diploms sometimes. It seems like there can't even be a notice being given this day and age without someone dealbreaking, running or crying afoul. What's the last top notice that actually resulted in no drama? Fairly sure it was BB vs Fratzia in age 59. Before that you have to go back to age 55 and Pulse/trollfag merger and before that BIO in age 53. Seriously, go back through the hall of honors. I'm not just picking fights I was involved in, I can't find any. I literally cannot find or remember one fight between top 3 kingdoms that didn't involve controversy. Its either drama or its abs finishing 1,2,3,4 for the past 3 years. (in which there were no abs intra-fights, therefore no such notices)
In short, everyone playing this game but me is unreasonable. You can argue Havoc didn't bring the drama most of their fights.
You're allowed to lose, I've done it plenty.
Does it really matter what size pyro is towards pew2? If the deal was any top 5 KD or CR (we feel so special to be mentioned explicitly), and there was allready a notice between pew2 and pyro, then bb has no choice but to retract their notice and sit back. Unless they want to dealbreak.
I asume both KD's (pew2 and bb) agreed to this clause in the deal earlier, so no matter the current actual numbers, a deal is still a deal.
Pretty sure that trying to run doesn't improve your chances in court on judgement day :)
Y no war for kuhan.
THIS IS !@#$ing BULLCHIT.
WARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
NOW
PHAGGOTS.
I dont see why Pew Pew cant ask for few extra days for prepare and war BB if they lack gold? Im sure BB wont mind it. Notice Pyro going to put in bigger disadvantage Pew if pyro retal war for few days. Maybe if Pew get free acres its can work for them... Still Pew and BB soon or late going to meet for sure.
Oh, I thought you guys were just putting on a show. I figured y'all knew the thing would fall thru based on the notice deal and the 3 of you(AMA,BB, Pew)can stave off any outside contenders...while appearing to be willing to war each other. ;-)
Your PR is fine with me, it's the non-top 3 that would've reached this point of paranoia. Oh..
SpewSpew just running with BS notices again.
Its their modus operandi.
Ryan&Co know their their kd is inferior to AMA and BB, with good reason since they managed to lose against AMA when they had all possible advantages last age, so one could only imagine the outcome if they had to fight on an even playing field or one where they are at a disadvantage.
Remember that now that it is AMA and BB with the upper hand we offer extra time for preparations and all sorts of concessions. When it was RBL/Pew/Havoc we had to fight on the earliest tick notices/end of war would allow or they threaten GB and no chance of even 1 day extra to prepare.
Its true but i don't blame Pew Pew for last age jump on us. WE did same to them age before it and they just returned it. They wared us and we wared them. Wars can help Kds earn respect and build better relations. Its why me and Dorje was in good terms for long till his last age double hostile.
Pyro can't even declare on pewpew. It has to be via max meter.
Comparing BB vs pewpew to pewpew vs pyro clearly shows you don't understand Utopia.
That was an agreement we made early age. Top was closer together, made sense at the time.
During our hostile with you, Tox asked me for a CF extend with pew. At first didn't want but figured since we'd be busy with you for a while, went with it anyway. At no time on IRC, a top5 clause was mentioned.
Tox msged me for the cf extend on april 15th. Almost 3 days later he pmed me to get it confirmed ingame, that's when he included that term in his mail. Still being busy with havoc, I pretty much blindly replied agreed.
Stupid? Sure.
It's still retarded to try and dodge a kingdom the same size when both kingdoms had plenty of time to prepare, just that pew was too lazy to actually prepare and choose to explore an elf with 2.3wpa on 4700 acres to 6500.
On another note: I asked pew how much time they need to prepare for war. All I get is "its not in our interest to fight u".
Its okay, we'll get to pewpew somehow. Eventually.
So that would mean they have a slim chance of winning and hes was right? :))Quote:

Sucks for BB but if Prot and Tox agreed on it then I don't know what the issue is?

there is no problem with noticing a kd 60% your size to run away from a a kingdom within 10% your size who is willing to offer you extra time to prepare
and what happens when that smaller kd wants to CF and give up the free wave?
well pew will have to make up some ridiculous demands to extend the hostile and try to force a hostile and hope their problems go away because BB is still going to be there waiting for them
so the net effect of pew running away is pyro get hit by a far larger kd and forced to long hostile or eating tonnes of hits just because pewpew are cowards. It's the same pussy tactic that havoc pulled and they got smashed for it.
Pew Pew would be better served by pumping their acres and devising strategies that don't involve running away.
For all the definitions given over the ages, what should we consider hostile these days is the question. Is it hostile if it cant go to war? Is it hostile if only one side has button? I'm unsure of the accepted terms or the implications.
What i see here is pro move from Pewpew using their notice on Pyro at perfect timing.
It didn't work before for pew, didn't work for havoc, wont work now.
That dog wont hunt.
Why are you pretending the KDs are the same size or that PewPew would have any chance in this war at all?
Any amount of 'extra time' to prepare is bogus, as it's not like your kingdom is unable to use that extra time as well.
The future in my eyes:
-You war PewPew
-You outnumber pews banks 3v2 so pews banks both end the war at 6-7k. Yours end at 15, 13, and 9
-Your core breaks even, due to playing well, even though their core should be at an advantage over you.
-You end the war at 120k w/ bonus, them at 90k.
-AMA Notices them.
-They try to dodge and war RBL
-Elit decides their war is fake, and therefore he is allowed to take his acres into other people's wars yet again
there is a massive amount of diminishing returns on pump time since once you have enough gold to max pump extra gold is superfluous in many situations and can be stolen etc to balance the scales. are we really worried about orc sci here?
source: did it last age
There is no reason why pew pew shouldn't be able to formulate a cogent strategy if they would but pull their heads out of the sand for a few hours and think of strategies that don't involve running away.
Well then if Pew know there is a diminishing return to pumping, why wouldn't they drag it out as long as possible to get themselves in to a better position?
Who says they have to take a huge sum of land from Pyro?
Isn't that "strategy"?
doesn't really matter. If your terms say something then they can use them to get the best advantage possible. Even if they think that means waving a KD out of declare range over and over for 2 weeks. Sure they might be wrong but meh.
If they go to war you got to think BB just explores up another bank and then bank war is 4v2 but meh.
maybe they have plan to force max meter on pyro and then war pyro, and then wave cr to prevent notice and give time... who knows!
We won't be warring since all of us have been sci pumping and now have entered fort to get some military in...but it's purely to diminish possible incoming losses
wasn't advice. Others were giving advice. I was just trying to explain their possible thoughts on waving another kingdom to prevent being noticed. Others were saying it was bad idea... which is likely true to some extent but if they have a long term plan to avoid for a few weeks maybe it works okay
I've got to agree with goodz here. And your PR is slipping gentlemen. - I'm still not convinced that Pew isn't part of an integrated strategy, perhaps unbeknownst? BB vintage 59 with precautions; all the sharp edges removed so we have no Jerks, SWEA repeats.
