This has been around forever, but it's time to fix it.
Half the time entries won't show up on the throne page news. In particular, desertion and meteors over a single tick never seem to show.
Then, once every few days you'll get a full dump of news from almost a week ago.
I would assume there's something buggy in either timestamps (THIS SHOULD NOT USE TIMESTAMPS) or the 'shown' flag.
