How does channeling science affect support spells?
Does it extend duration? Does it increase success rate?
*IF* the mechanics for sharing spells for faery are similar to that of paladin, channeling increases succesrate, but does not change the duration.
2 ages ago, duration was based on guild% of the province you're casting on, not sure if that changed in the meantime.
Correct, success rate is based on your own wpa vs your target wpa so channeling science will affect your success rate by increasing your own wpa.
Channeling does not increase duration of spells.
Faery has a unique bonus which increases their own self spell duration. This does not apply to spells cast on kingdom mates.
Hope that helps!
Thanks, DavidC.
I'm a mechanical rust bucket, but if I recall, range has some effect on duration. Like when I was casting meteors as a chained orc mystic my durations on high nw/acre provinces was lower. And if mechanics for sabotage are relatively the same, they're more focal than spells: sabotage has a narrower range.
To summarize that theory: faery should be duration efficient to friendly provinces in nw/acre casting range.
Yes you are correct range does have an effect on offensive spells/thief operations.
That is how I thought it worked. I really wish wizards did not die on support spells. It is really frustrating to lose 100 wizards just getting Paladins Inspiration on 15 Kingdom Mates. At my size that is nearly an entire day worth of wizards. Very difficult to get my WPA up.
