The Song Twins (Min Ji & Kwan Gi)
Amanda was studying her brother in silence from the sofa she was stretching out in, while he was talking rapidly in Korean over the phone. He nodded a few times, for whom she wasn't quite sure.
"Ye... Ye... understood," Michael said, nodding once more before he finally hung up.
"Change of plans," he continued as he looked up at her, smiling slightly as he caught her staring. She quirked an eyebrow.
"Somehow the cops got a wiff of the race tomorrow," he was quick to explain. "Some noob must have told the wrong person. He decided to move it up to tonight..." he looked down at his watch. "Well, within the hour, more precisely. Or it will be cancelled."
"Tonight?! Within the hour?!" she repeated. "Do you know how difficult it will be to gather the drivers? They are probably already out there somewhere drinking their brains out. And not only that, we need the scouts, and set up perimeters..." The threw out her hands in a hopeless gesture. Sometimes Amanda had a difficult time understanding Mr Pak. Mr Pak was their clan leader, but his official title was CEO of TriCo Domain, shortly called TCD. TCD owned several garages in Dice but their main bussiness was unlike some garages not fixing the cars themselves but rather ordering, installing and tuning custom made luxurious articles such as the latest and top of the line sound systems, gaming consoles, tv screens, computers. More or less anything that counted as electronics.
"Fine... I'll take care of the drivers if you'll fix the rest," Amanda, or Min Ji as the underground knew her as, threw her legs over the sofa and with large strides went to pick up her cell. "I hope Ash isn't out drinking again. That fool!" Michael merely nodded as he was already in conversation on his.
Lindsey (Min Sun) Song
Yamato Jun. So she had been right, he wasn't Korean. She nodded in acknowledgement as he mentioned Katsumoto Yuri. The Chimaera had never had any direct bussiness with Katsumoto or Eclipse Futuristics Inc for that matter, at least not to her knowledge. But one must be brain damaged not to recognise the name Katsumoto Yuri in this town.
"Maybe he'll get lucky on the floor," she commented on the mark, caring very little if he did or not. The man's fate was not her problem, especially after he had proven to be a man not worthy of her respect. She continued to fiddle with the paper as Jun pulled out a business card, taking the opportunity to exchange one number for another giving him the paper in return. She hammered the card with the tip of her nail as he began to explain.
"Well, I'm not really unemployed as it is, but I'll think about it," she said with a smile, putting the card safely in her handbag. Perhaps the clan could benefit somehow, but strategy like that was not her forte. She would have to take it up with her siblings later.
"Later J," she called after him, finally taking the first sip of her drink. His last remark had not slided by unnoticed. It was with a smile on her lips that she finally caught up with her friends again.
