Think of it; we get the hour change at every minute, rather than every hour (i gues it would be called minute change in that case)
Wouldnt it be a chaotically fast paced game, and totally ruin hardcore utopia fans real lives :D

72 minutes protection would be an interesting idea for sure. 48 minutes wars would be fun too I guess.
I'd not try it on main server tho, but could try it on genesis-like server. Too pity server would be crushed rly fast ;)

This would never work, since it would be 1 minute of game play, then 5 minutes of TICK, then takes 2 minutes to attack...

Since tick takes 3-4 minutes, 3-4 extra minutes of ticking would pile up every minute and the game would get hopelessly behind with the ticks.
You'd get messages like: "Game is now processing tick from 100 ticks ago". And later on, you'd get messages like: "Game is now processing tick from 150 ticks ago" and it would get worse and worse.
You would be able to get your 2 hour nap since you couldn't do anything even if you were logged in.

genesis alpha with the accelerated time frames was fun.
So was the 15 min ticking beta. Sleep was something strange, 8hours of sleep made you inactive for 32 utopian-day's.
But then again, you could hunt people about to get out of bed and plunder them :D

As it is the game's not attracting enough new players and I believe the (rather) steep learning curve has something to do with it. This change would just make it worse lol.
