So, ambushing a DE. 100% SOM shows 1774 off specsand 2161 elites sent.
Should the calcs be (1774*6 + 2161*8)*0.8 or (1774*8 + 2161*8)*0.8?
The former shows 22.5k whereas the latter shows 25.5k. Kd mate sent 23k and failed.
As far as I've known, when ambushing off specs, the off specs will always use the race's def spec value. Has this changed?
it should be the lower figure, but you also need to set your WAR ROOM attack type to Ambush first, so as to remove any offense mods from the in-house calculator. Otherwise the numbers you enter will include your OME, and if you send the precise amount to break(+1), as you should, under those circumstances, you will invariably bounce.
edit: As Lucky explain below, I am implying your guy filled out war room with Trad March set, and then switched to ambush. Thus leaving himself too little offence to break the ambush once the OME mods are removed from the Trad March calcs
DE specs should count as 6 on ambush, yes.

If he put in the numbers and then changed it to ambush before sending, it wouldn't have updated properly, and he'd have still failed. The script doesn't always update right away. They are worth 6 points on an ambush.Quote:
