These are both really annoying, and will not go away. There must be an easy way to disable them though, right?
For the tutorial - go to the right top click on your name -> account settings -> uncheck tutorials enabled. For the chat I don't think you can disable it yet(but you should be).
You can now disable mentor chat too in your settings.
All the games best features are in that menu.. Disable Ingame chat, disable tutorial (which is good but why have it enabled for existing accounts years old?), disable mentor chat...
