I am trying to figure out if a dwarf/merch is a better A/T then an orc/merch.
My thoughts are that even though dwarf elites are more expensive, the cost saved by building buildings for free would take care of it, and the thief penalty can be negated with 25 science points per acre
If the only thing that is keeping orcs afloat as a choice, being the plague, then the problem occurs when, if races and personalities are spread out evenly, only ~73% are not immune to the plague and in the thread " What are the chances of causing plague?" VT2 stated that there is only a 25% chance that it can be spread, so assuming that targets are randomly hit, 73% * 25% is ~18% of spreading the plague when attacking and assuming that a war is 3 days long and you make 2 attacks per day chances are only one attack is going to spread the plague.
I have the following questions:
1) is it worth it to get the orc for the plague? Are there more ways to spread it? If there are other ways of spreading it what are the chances of spreading it that way?
2) What are other points for choosing the dwarf over the orc? or the orc over the dwarf? My thoughts are still going toward the merch personality, so the personality isn't in question here.
