Using the CB - SoM number of elites away to calculate the defense, some of my kd mates and I have bounced several times even when there is a 90-98% chance according to Angel. Some have been 1 k oversends.
If feels like the chances of success has been tweaked a bit...is this happening to anyone else?
I blame your reliance on angel, and your belief that what angel tells you is correct.

That's from the developers btw. Basically you need to oversend by 4% to be guaranteed not to bounce, so unless you have angel set that way...

If that thing is correct, I should have failed at least 4% of my attacks on the 'new code,' which I haven't.
VT2 if you have made less then 25 attacks this age that is statistically probable.
Thanks for the ever-so-helpful advice, VT2. Setting all the comments about Angel aside, I have little faith in the functionality of the new code. With reports by players of attacks targeting provinces different from the one selected not even 2 days ago, obviously the new code is not reliably operational.,,though I know crap about coding and server-side implentation and what not.
Even if VT2 has made 100 attacksand never failed, that's still not a big enough sample size.

0.965*1.04/1.035 = 0.97 (well, close enough, and it does say slightly over 4%)

Thread starter: in case you didn't know, you can set angel to require 4% oversend to produce the 100% chance of success message.
