Hi, Im new here.. question!
Do prisoners that are sent out with troops still provide income and fill up jobs? I can't find any info about this, but maybe it's assumed obvious that they don't?
Thx

Effectively, prisoners never leave the province, and so they are employed 24/7.
Prisoners technically never leave your province so any that you take on attacks are instantly added to your province at home and start giving the benefits the next tic.
Oh ok, so lets say I send out 500 prisoners. Half of them die. I also gain 300 new prisoners. I understand that the 300 newly captured ones start working at home instantly. But you're saying that the 250 remaining from from the originally sent also start working at home immediately?
Yes. They attack and are instantly brought back to your province. They don't stay with armies.
Yes, exactly. They function a lot like peasants.
I see, thx!
OK, another question: is there a limit of how many prisoners you can send out each attack? What limit in that case?
In attacks, prisoners pretty much just count as free mercs, and the mercenary rate is on your war room
Quote:
Mercenary Rate One per 5.0 Troops
Ok thx!
Ok a third question:
The guide says that "Prisoners are taken in addition to enemy killed after an attack, usually a similar number to the number of kills, IF there is room in your dungeons for them."
Lets say that I kill about 7% of enemy troops on an average attack (is this number correct btw?). If I max my dungeons, will I get all 7% imprisoned, or 3.5% imprisoned and 3.5% killed?
I would expand Shinzai's Question. Lets assume all other factors are the same except...
1. I hit a province, and i have 0 dungeons I kill x troops
2. I hit same province and i have a lot of dungeons, i kill y troops and imprison z troops.
is x = y+z ?
is y=z?
Prisoner's are taken away from what you would have killed. Dungeons don't raise/lower casualty rates
If you would have killed 700 troops without free dungeons, then when you hit with free dungeons you'll kill 350 and capture 350 (roughly)
Thx!
