After playing attacker for so many ages i want to try Elf mystic just to try something new.
Now i am wondering what some good strats are for a tm.
1. building allocations normal/war (maybe also OOP)
2. def-wpa-tpa figures. ( rest of accronims i dont know for tm ;)
3. what spells to focus on during war and outside

Late age : 4 raw TPA, 7 raw WPA, 8 DSPA, 5 EPA
This is all assuming your honor maintains at Lord position and home/tool science constantly researched..
Build after a couple weeks, work towards this:
Homes: (20%)
Farms: (8%)
Forts: (15%)
Guilds:(10%)
Towers: (17%)
Watch Towers: 300 (30%)
29.88 total pop, easily reached with some honor and housing science early on in combination with the homes.

Yes 30% WT. You're going to be growing in war and the last thing you need is to go below 25% WT and be more vulnerable to being bent over by the large amount of Halflings this age. Give up on the idea of T/M Elf as its just not going to be good, you'll have no bonus to thievery and should focus on what you actually can do as an M/a. That many towers gives you more than enough for casting whatever is needed, probably even if you wanted to LL and had nothing else to do.
You can keep 80+ dpa with your army home and after a day or so in war when its a little safer you could send out attacks on whoever you can with 45 or so mod opa.
He's cheesing you IMO.
20% Guilds MINIMUM
15% Towers MINIMUM
These are your two most important structures. If you plan on warring OoP, I would run 40% Guilds and 20-25% Towers.
Elf Mystics should aim towards 7 rWPA, and the sooner you achieve that, the quicker you will be able to start honor whoring.
TM elf is totally viable and that is what he asked for
That build is a joke for hybrid a/m thou... with incoming acres you are gonna want atleast 16% guilds on a mystic hybrid depending how defensively they are played.
the TM route is fairly close thou.

Later in age you can drop some homes/towers for libraries as science inproves and reduces tower needs. You will only be nsing attackers with this strat but you have the best wizards on the server, make use of them. You can feasibly run both WT's and TD's to reduce losses but protecting ur wizzies is the most important feature in ur build
So in other words elf mystics need to try and eat the halflings before the halflings eat them. Stick your finger in its hole try that.
Then ur left with Faeries at the end, someone said they werent overpowered this age, they will just get overlooked for having poor mods!Quote:

An elf's job is to cast meteors on the enemy kingdom, at least on all the non feary/elf provinces, then you can do a greed wave or fireballs, storms if you think it will work on anyone.
Mystics have a duration spell advantage so if there are other casters in the kingdom that are not mystics, you let them do the fireballs while you do meteor and greed. Storm is an easier spell so someone else might be able to do storms but if not you might want to give it a shot if you have the mana.
interesting builds, especially to see so many % homes.
i will be building a 100% mage (no offense, or maybe small elite group) so no hyrbid.
will have higher wpa this way and in war i will have 25% WT. (this way stable 3 tpa is enough)
imo this is best to have: block 90% of people and max def against the high tpa halfer rogue.
out of OOP i will have high guilds (30% and up) wo raise wpa.
explain why 20% homes is interesting.

Yeah well considering ive never played magic user and i am playing elf mystic this age im pretty excited about being able to fb the shnit out of ppl. Oh and casting ms never been able to do that before.
Do any Elf players train naught but Elf Lords for coming OOP with? If you play Elf, what will your army consist of OOP?
The difference in Offence between spec and lord is not so huge, 25% that if your low on funds building specs is fine, once your in end of war ceasefire or if your running arms then you can build lords, alternatively if you can steal or plunder lots of gold you can also.
This early unless you are trying to pump for war there is little harm in using specs as offence.
For your first war you will want 25% towers if you want to be using all your mana, you have jack for science so you need the runes.
Not much point being a mage if you can't afford to cast your spells.
Late age 15% with 80% science worked for me, that comes to 27% with no science needed, this gets you enough runes to cast 2-2.5 meteors a tick.
Pure mage seems an odd idea, a Hybrid aM or a tM makes much more sense than just being a wizard.
Sure with 8 raw wpa you migth be able to meteor the enemy elves but is that worth giving up the 3 stealth you generate an hour or the ability to attack. Don't think so.
Take 2 roles at least. Either add attacker or thief to the mix.
What worked for me last age was:
End of war ceasefire
25% bank (could go 30% due to BE if you need gold)
5-6% Farm (I took aid)
70% Guilds
It's that simple, you run 70% guilds until your at your desired wpa level, then convert to war build. This is your pump build, MAX income (not using homes) and MAX wizard production. You need to pump elites and elites, that is it. Ofc you run science as high as you can afford as well. housing/magic being your main, BE/alch came second for me.
In war I ran
GS 18%
Hosp% 18%
WT 25%
guild 15%
Tower 15% (or whatever gives you enough for 2 meteors an hour, though I would also aid out runes since my production rate was higher than anyone in the kingdom)
7% Farm
2% Dungeon
This age you need rax so I would take the needed amount out of GS, in an all attacker kingdom elves were rarely taken down since our heavy attackers had twice the offence and less defence which made them much more appealing targets but everything depends on your role and your kingdom.
Which is better, GS or Fort I don't know, I ran GS and was never hit so it seemed to make no difference to me. Whether one could do without either I cannot say.
