I'm sorry I don't have that big problem with the rune production or fail rates. I just have a lot towers.

Or develop a balanced and diverse game where people can play to their strengths and what they enjoy. Or just lets take away oping of all kinds and make it purely an attacker game.
Main thing is your going against alot of dwarfs and faerys . They mystic aura which cost storms then ms. Then you face nw range and I believe there is a auto fail built in if out of nw like prop. Then you have m wpa vs m wpa that is multiply you can look that up in the guide. As for thieves as a mystic you shouldn't use them till day 2 of the war. Helps protect from rogues and once tpa fall on fat attackers you can ns. Moral of the story mystic is extremely boring this age. Go hybrid if your kingdom isn't competitive, probably increase the fun for you. Competitive kingdoms probably had their pros go mystic this age, because we saw the problem coming.
You should just play some other game? Nothing wrong with this game its your unwillingness to adapt. Stick to the OLD ways and your KD will lose war after war.
Most PPL claiming to be "pure mage or thf" are just lazy. They wanna sit on huge DP so they never get chained, no acres to rebuild, no army to rebuild, no wizzies to train.
ANYBODY can do that. An 11 year old can do that. This is not sim uto. Play a Fae and have a nice army too. Help your brother attackers.
FYI again my numbers - 8 wpa raw, max sci, fae/myst, viscount. Today failed 4x MS on an attacker that grew from 1000 to 2000 acres so pretty certain he doesnt have more than a couple wpa raw if that. so 5th time successful, thats 5 hrs worth of mana and runes. What is the point of wpa if maxing it doesnt give me an edge over anything. *rant over*

Yes u fail MS but you also attack so your not utterly useless when you fail MS
Because there is always and optimal range in war, when t/ms are usually the bigger provinces in the kd to begin so that they can at least stand a chance from getting massacred down at wars start. So from the get go we are at a disadvantage casting on anyone mid tier or under. Add that on top of rune shortages, there is no way to keep even blanket ops like greed/storm on the kd when you are struggling to get ms all while fireballing and chasity is running on others. You are better off going rogue and thief oping as propaganda and ns can do just as much damage or more without the worry of needing runes.
ok just to make sure i am objective and truthful in my feedback about the game - the war ended and the opponent told me those 5x fails were 5x mystic aura, bloody no lifers.... :D
so you were casting on other faeries and didnt have someone pop MA first. wow
Thievery has its downsides too:
1. Thief losses are in general much higher than wizard losses
2. Watchtowers can slow a thief down, even if you only have 1 raw TPA
3. Clear Sight can slow a thief down, even if you only have 1 raw TPA
4. Out of range ops are more penalized than out of range spells
5. Thief ops, including propaganda, hardly yield any honor
In all fairness, thievery ops are in general more powerful, with the exception of MS and NM.
The lack of runes forces KD's to either grow, diversify spells or run a different KD-wide strategy.
My main concern is stealing runes out of war which will become way more attractive now. Last age, as a Elf/Heretic, 10% Towers was all you need to do Nightmare runes every 12 hrs.
P.S.: I would love it if Faeries would keep re-casting MA, slurping 3% mana each time, as opposed to actually casting spells that hurt.
Lightning strike is my other favorite.
