but punishing those who succeed with higher taxes causes them to cut jobs.
Paying taxes is punishment? I always figured paying your taxes is supporting your country. You forget all the tax loop-holes that the wealthy use. Your also assuming people making over 250k per year are business owners. And show me anytime in the US when taxes have been raised that jobs were lost.

And if you dems will pay close attention here...it's been over the past 1-2 years that our economy has taken the biggest plunges. Uhm...when was it that Darth Pelosi and the dems took over the house? Oh yeah...two years ago. And what has happened to our economy since?
Wow... your really grasping there aren't you. 6 out of the last 8 were Republican control. 4 out of the last 8 the republicans had Both the white house and the congress.

This mess did not happen in 2 years. Even McCain says he warned of this happening over 2 years ago. Guess what? That was while republicans had the white house and Congress. Your just giving them dems the shaft because they inherited this crap. Although I'm not all that happy with them either.

Under the liberal tax code, the more you make the higher % of your income you pay...yes that is punishing people for succeeding. So I can't blame the wealthy for using lawyers to find tax loopholes when they're being forced by threat of incarceration to pay so much more.

Your also assuming people making over 250k per year are business owners. And show me anytime in the US when taxes have been raised that jobs were lost.
Point well made. No not ALL are business owners but even the non-buisiness owners making such income are still, as I said before, "being punished for succeeding" AND the vast majority of those making 250K+/year still have a hand in making job-cut and outsourcing decisions even if they don't own the business. As far as losing jobs when taxes have been raised look at the Clinton administration. Yes the unemployment rate dropped back down throughout his final 6 years to a record low...I can't deny dems that at all as his wife did a beautiful job...but when the hike in taxes was first implemented unemployment jumped (yes again I'll say it quickly went back down so this really isn't a great example but it's recent), and hundreds of businesses began an outsourcing strategy which only recenty has slowed down. Another instance is the Carter administration...a massive jump in unemployment, outsourcing plans, AND (with a cherry on top) an unprecedented increase in terrorist activities against the USA and her allies. But again I must say it's not all the fault of one side...It has taken failures on both sides of the fence with the biggest one being a failure work together.

Wow... your really grasping there aren't you. 6 out of the last 8 were Republican control. 4 out of the last 8 the republicans had Both the white house and the congress.
No...look at the economy over the past 8 years. We suffered the most devastating terrorist attack in world history and the economy bounced back. For the 6 of those 8 years you're talking about the economy surely wasn't perfect but wasn't anywhere near in the bowl of crap it's in right now AND was still quite strong. Also as most liberals do you have omitted certain things I said to try to make a false and invalid point. Did I not say that trickle-down-economics was still partly to blame? Uhm, well I sure did. If you're going to quote someone quote them with some integrity...a value liberalism in this country has left us mostly-bereft of.

Even McCain says he warned of this happening over 2 years ago.
Now WHEN did I ever say that John McCain knew what he was talking about? Uhm, I didn't. Yet AGAIN quote with integrity..."I'm not a republican but I am a staunch conservative." Just because I'm a conservative doesn't mean I support McCain.

Your just giving them dems the shaft because they inherited this crap. Although I'm not all that happy with them either.
No I'm not giving them the shaft because they inherited any crap. I'm giving them the shaft because they've turned a bad situation even worse with irresponsible spending. Again...stop omitting other's words to make a weak point. But I will give you an A for expressing displeasure with the current congress anyway.

Listen...all we're doing here is what I first stated...too divided to see where the other side has something right. *raises hand* "Guilty". But when every good thing conservatism does for this country is trounced by the liberals, it makes it difficult to agree with them on much, yet as you saw in my previous post I stated support for Hillary Clinton despite my sheer hatred of her and disagreeing with most of her policies. Yeah...Hillary or Obama is yet another step in the direction of socialism but at least Hillary knows how to get stuff done. I notice you didn't quote that either. All you quoted was that which you disagreed with...okay I'm beating a dead horse now talking about your quoting choices. One fact will always remain...We've all got this one planet that we have to share. Healthy debating is good but dismissing everything and every issue another brings up no matter how good or bad it is just because they are on the other side of the fence is counter-productive and BOTH sides of the US political fence are equally guilty of this.
    Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!

To clear-up your claims on the Democratic Congress over the last 2 years creating the mess.

Not going to 'quote' you because you might take offense.
