Well, I played a long time ago, started somewhere in the single digits for ages, can't remember exactly, but stopped years ago. So, I had a question, when did they drop from 8 to 6 races?
And why did they change two...it seems the halfers became gnomes, Avians are gone, as are faeries, undead were sort of melded with ors, and dark elves were added. Can anyone let an old guy who hasn't been here in a while in on what happened?

somewhere in 2002, when there were 8 races, and i think dwarves needed more food or something like that? i was in an awesome kingdom too but didn't realise it at the time cause i was noob. and i played battlefield.

I started playing in November of 1998 - it was an eventful time in my life so I can remember the month and year just not the details like what the age was called or what race I played.
I took an involuntary break for about 6 months from late 2000 until early 2001 but other than that I've played every age and on every server I could "legally" have an account on. (ex I never had an account on both BF and WOL at the same time)
When I started I thought I was the only real life female but have met a few over the years. I see more ladies in the forum than in the game but I think we're still underrepresented. We've finally got 2 other ladies in the group I've played with for years. Most all of our group is 'older' in that we are in our 30s and 40s (I'm 37). I love my team!
I'm addicted and will continue playing this game until either I die, the game shuts down, or I'm forced to pay to play (I'm platinum but I wasn't forced, so that's different).
I've upped my standards. Now up yours.

was the age after HoDF. so 9? 10? cant remember and too lazy to check.
I played BRE (Barren Realms Elite) on BBS's before the internet existed. That was Mehul's old game which inspired Utopia and Earth. It was awesome too, and it was why I first started playing Utopia a few years later.
