if you paradice/explore (ie GAIN non-built land) the following numbers will not increase

I guess so. But you don't want to cause too much of a rattle snake.back on topic - would it not be better to just run GS with your barren land since your goal is to reduce peoples gains on you?
It's about 16% more def or 21% less losses.
