I would think you would be better off running 18%arms or 10%banks and 8%arms.

    Land*%Farms*70*BE*FoodSci[*1,25 if artisan][+Land*4 i shepherd]+BarrenLands*2

    i really don't understand

    %Farms=(TotalPop*0,25-BarrenLands*2[-Land*4 if shepherd])/(Land*70*BE*FoodSci[*1,25 if artisan])

    please explain
They are formulas for food. The first one is for the amount of food you create each hour, thought i did miss FL.
    So it should be:

    Code:
    Land*%Farms*70*BE*FoodSci[*1,25 if artisan][+Land*4 i shepherd]+BarrenLands*2[*1,25 if FL is active]
    Code:
%Farms=(TotalPop*0,25-BarrenLands*2[-Land*4 if shepherd])/(Land*70*BE*FoodSci[*1,25 if artisan][*1,25 if FL is active])
You simply insert your values, such as Land, %Farms, FoodSci, BarrenLand, BE. When i write "[]", i mean that you should add that bonus if you fil the requirement (If you are artisan, shepherd, have FL active etc).
The first formula tells you how much food you produce (at least that's what it should do). And in the second one you fill in everything but %Farms, and you'll get how many % Farms you will need.

Yupp. You change the variables into your values. For example, you have 25% food-sci, then you replace "FoodSci" with 1,25.

    not quite...

    (693*10%*70*BE+barren lands*2) * (sci) * 1.25 (FL)

Those 14% are multipliers. You can translate that to 1.14 times whatever you make. If you make zero, you still get zero. So, you will still need some farms. As for banks, your pezzies also provide income. You can get rid of banks and still have your alchemy modify the tax income from pezzies.

Try and help explain the equations. Before I do I believe barren acres produce 4 bushels of food.

Land is total acres you have
%farms is the percentage of land you have as farms
70 is the number of bushels of food produced by one farm at 100% building efficiency
    BE is building efficiency
FoodSci is 1 plus the modifier in decimal form
    one bushel feeds four peasants
Artisan increases the output of farms by 25% or times 1.25
Shepherd produces 4 bushels per acre no matter what is built on those acres.
Barren land as stated above I think produces 4 bushels and not 2

    Hope that helps.

_greenie is right. My fault. As i said, i made that formula up on the spot :P

    Just for the record:
    Food=(Land*%Farms*70*BE[*1,25 if artisan]+BarrenLands*2[+Land*4 i shepherd])*FoodSci[*1,25 if FL is active]

Or is the shep-bonus affected by Sci/FL?
