Yes, vines, and that's why your province doesn't work, and why you suck so hard at this games.
Catwalk's crusade for legalized cheating was a stunning success, with ghettos and low-tiered teams everywhere losing their wells of knowledge to better kingdoms in the process.

Step one: replace everything that works.
Step two: blame the predictable epic fail on outside forces.
Step three: keep the community informed that no progress has been made since the last update.
Step four: thank you for your patience.

overpop does change a bit from age to age, right now it seems at 100.1% to 114.5% peasants leave. 114.5% and above peasants leave, troops desert, you cannot use thieves and you cannot attack.

unpaid troops= wont attack that hour, Military Effeciency drops, you dont draft as much

to cause desertions, it depends on lots of variables, but if you target is at max pop, roughly 3 trad marches in 1 hour can start it, and then 1 hit per hour afterwards can keep it up.

Vines post about preventing overpop is wrong. Homes wont prevent overpop, neither does kidnapping.
Tactics to protect yourself from overpop include:
    1. Dont get hit :) not realistic in war, but if u'r not unbreakable at least keep enuf def so enemies with similar nw cannot doubletap you.
    2. Guardstations. Losing less land per hit will keep ur max pop higher.
    3. Grab land. If you're getting chained, u wanna have land incoming so when ur army returns, you wont be overpopped. (hint. if ur enemy bounces, does a non-land attack, or uses warspoils, they are a good candidate to be chained)

vines is also wrong about cs and wt, with max wt + cs, you have a 62.5% of catching them (plus your own tpa vs their tpa). Simple math: 8 ops tried (cs catches 25%), 6 get past cs (wt catches 50%) 3 get past. 5/8 = 62.5% caught.

You can kill a province by over popping it. Once you drive out all the pezzies, the province dies.

Other ideas to combat overpop condition. Turn troops into soldiers and send them out as aid or even explore.

Starving can cause the loss of incoming land from an attack. I've seen that happen.

For underpayment of troops, I do not think they will leave until pay gets less than 50%.

It's my understanding that defensive tpa, CS, and watch towers operate independent of each other. First you would have to "break" the target defensive tpa, pass through CS, and WTS for an op to happen.

    @vines it's chaining not changing.

    If it's broke, fix it.
    If it's not, don't.
If you do not like the results, change your methods.
Quit making the same old mistakes. Make new ones.
