Why all elite gnome = bad?

gnome having fully elites or not is always situational. If you're in the smack dab center nw or acres of your kd, you probably want to be lower nw (i.e. having more specs). If you're super big and bigger than most of your opponents, you should inflate your nw during war so noone can hit you well enough and you can "turtle". Still as a big gnome you should have plenty of specs to help on dragon slaying.

lastly, specs are better than elites in the long run cause they are cheaper to maintain. So, during your peace time, spend the extra little 50 gc at first so you have the money to rebuild or send a dragon or aid a friend in times of war.
