    You don't need to turn your draft that far up to get the benefit of "8 more units to use".

    No Homes
    Pop/Acre = 25
    Draft = 60%
    Mil/Acre = 15 pop/acre
    Pez/Acre = 10
    Job/Acre = 16.7 (for max BE)

    10% Homes
    Pop/Acre = 25.8
    Draft = 61.2%
    Mil/Acre = 15.8
    Pez/Acre = 10
    Job/Acre = 15 (for max BE)

    20% Homes
    Pop/Acre = 26.6
    Draft = 62.4%
    Mil/Acre = 16.6
    Pez/Acre = 10
    Job/Acre = 13.3 (for max BE)

    30% Homes
    Pop/Acre = 27.4
    Draft = 63.5%
    Mil/Acre = 17.4
    Pez/Acre = 10
    Job/Acre = 11.7 (for max BE)

    Someone mentioned that a good province has a strong military and economy. Well, my military is fine...but I'm lacking gc. So more banks seems to be the logical solution.

    However, I'm not keen on running banks during war....

    How does this look:

    War
    Homes 10
    Farms 10
    TG 23
    Forts 20
    Hospitals 17
    Guilds 11
    Towers 6
    Dungeons 3

    OOW
    Homes 10
    Farms 10
    Banks 30
    TG 16
    Guilds 15
    Hops 10
    Towers 6
    Dungeons 3

    Now I'm thinking I would have too many Forts...but I don't really know what else to put it into and being harder to break sounds like a great idea

    I offered my analysis, criticize it as you like. It mainly applies OOW, during war it's trickier. The birth rate bonus helps more during war, though.

    so.. if u just said homes are good for oow, then you must understand why i say homes are a bad war building...which would mean we are in agreement for once...

    Why don't we all post some war builds for orc/warrior and compare the income and opnw/dpnw values (and any other factor essential for a war build) keeping the non-essential factors (like WPA) constant and fiddling around with the DR? Sort of like what I did with the gnome/artisan build here.

    Does that mean you agree they're good OOW? I didn't agree they're bad during war, I conceded that it's harder to analyze their value during war and am not quite sure about it. You haven't given an argument yet, feel free to put one up.

    I've already said that homes are a situational whore building. They are better out of war but that doesn't mean it's a good building. But why ask me, obviously everyone is zoned in on homes even tho it's obvious they suck. Tho I don't get why u think high draft is any good. Homes, trad taking away built, high draft... Is it obvious yet?

    Just getting out of a war, this is the build I used:

    Homes 10
    Farms 10
    Training Grounds 20
    Forts 20
    Hospitals 20
    Guilds 11
    Towers 6
    Dungeons 3

    At the start of war, I had 23 TGs and 17 Hops, but I felt that many TGs was unnecessary so I put it into Hops instead.

    Here's how I look now. I'm actually pleasantly surprised. My relatively high WPA kept me safer from Ops and decent TPA helped out too.

    Ruler Name: Lord Bragnix the Warrior

    So now, I think I need to tune my build even more. I do like the approx. 20% Higher Birthrate and I'm sure it helped keep my peasants up. So I'm not sure if I want to go down below 10% Homes.

    I however think I could benefit from running 10% Racks. What should I take it out of? I suppose TGs and Forts are the obvious answers, and maybe out of Hops as well.

    What do you think?

    Homes 10
    Farms 10
    Training Grounds 17
    Barracks 10
    Forts 16
    Hospitals 17
    Guilds 11
    Towers 6
    Dungeons 3

    I feel a bit rainbowish is my only qualm
