Suppose province A attacks province B twice, the first hit is for 400 acres, and the second hit is for 125 (first was traditional, second was conquest).

Province B successfully ambushes province A. Does he get half of the total amount, ~375 acres, or half of the first or most recent attack?

First ambush Province B does, he will get 125/2 acres assuming Province A is not a warrior.

Second ambush Province B does, he will get 400/2 acres.

If Province A is a warrior, ambush gains are 25% of original acres lost.

What if the second attack troops would get home sooner (because the first one had +4 hours for example)? Is the most recent attack always ambushed first?

Return times do not matter, only the order of the hits. Also if you make a first T/M and then a Plunder, the T/M cannot be ambushed (or at least it used to be this way).

Thanks all. Yeah, i was asking about the order of attacks. First ambush would hit most recent attack, second would do the second attack. I'm guessing you can do 1 ambush per attack, up to the 4 attacks total (if there were 4 attacks)?
