I consider anything below 40 dpa suicide, rule of thumb is to have atleast 50 dpa when you send out attacks

Basicly this but i woudl like to point out that its all about risk and reward.don't allow double taps and your fine
Vs a kingdom wich is likely to take it to war its not so wise to enter yourself into the doubletap range, while vs a weaker kingdom i wouldnt mind to leave 35 dpa at home.
Also, if you can get an insane learn/plunder it may worth to suicide.
I will prolly agree with Jungle who said that as long as your not allowing yourself to get double tapped(or more) ....

Less than 60 OPA is suicide.
I consider DPA to be irrelevant and dependant on too many factors.
