America used to be a great country.

What is wrong with our country? When was hard work and initiative replaced with an open hand looking for a handout?

How is it that we are sprinting toward the socialism of our great country? What happened to the principles that this constitutional republic was founded on? What happened to state rights?

Why is it that the democratic party is the party of pro-choice and fringe groups? Why is it that the republican party is the party of the rich and the right wing religious companies? And why is it that these are our only viable choices?

When did the citizens of USA stop thinking for themselves? When did people stop caring about any of the above?

Communists were wrong by not taking into consideration many things.
Capitalists were wrong by lying about all aspects they took into consideration.
Socialists are Communist-Socialists and Capitalist-Socialists, Defeated and Perverted. Communism is dead, Socialist-Communism lost along the way, Earth decided already that Capitalism must die then Human Civilization conterattacked by introducing the last breed, Socialist-Capitalism, which is awfuly wrong. Communism is still the most efficient system in bringing Justice and Capitalism still most efficiend in coverind Unjustice. Unjustice is working well and smothly with enrichment. I'm not interested in enrichment and I also saw defficiencies of the other way (lived in a communist country). Now I ask myself: What lies ahead? Hope, maybe. Hmmm... as individual? certainly death.

When the resources USA used its initiative to take from less developed countries, ran out.

The cash crop countries are dying of famine, the fossil fuel countries have turned hostile and the foreign workforce wont jump onto a sinking ship ;)

I don't think America ever was that great, honestly.
Catwalk's crusade for legalized cheating was a stunning success, with ghettos and low-tiered teams everywhere losing their wells of knowledge to better kingdoms in the process.

Step one: replace everything that works.
Step two: blame the predictable epic fail on outside forces.
Step three: keep the community informed that no progress has been made since the last update.
Step four: thank you for your patience.

Well, if you're talking about overall prosperity, lets see:

    1) Part of the problem is the depletion of natural ressources (which the US had more of in its earlier day).

    2) Part of the problem is the abolition of slavery and a greater amount of social justice (meaning less free or cheap labor).

    3) Part of the problem is the depletion of the world's main energy source (ie, oil).

    4) Part of the problem is the fact that the equilibrium of world power is shifting as new powers are emerging, older powers are coming back on their feet (ie, Europe) and the US is exhausting itself with ill considered war efforts (so its harder for the US to use leverage to get better deals).

    5) Part of the problem is the combination of more humane working conditions in the US combined with internationalization (meaning companies can find workforce elsewhere where they can exploit people to a bloody pulp like they used to during the industrial revolution).

The good news is that now, the US has an opportunity to right some of the past wrongs and get better, more solid and humane foundation for its future prosperity.

As far as I'm concerned, 2 and 4 are desirable as they help spread the wealth to the many rather than the few.

1 can be compensated for somewhat by relying on a more knowledge based economy and by being more efficient about how things are done (like more recycling for example).

3 can be compensated for by pushing for the use of and research in alternate energy sources.

5 will get better as working conditions improve in other countries and can be accelerated on a local level if you don't mind a more socialist approach, by making the government give incentive to companies to hire at home.

So yep, don't despair. Things are looking up. It might not be in your generation though (especially if the voting mass act like they don't care).

Except for the torrid love affair between the West and the middle East (for which the West is the main culprit btw if you bother to look at the historical facts), conflicts have stayed pretty local and isolated since the cold war.

And of course, you got a clear reason for why the cold war still exist... despite the fact that, say, most formerly communist countries are no longer communist?

    A little paranoid ain't we?

Run! The world is scheming to get you! They may look busy with their own affairs, but in truth, they have been plothing your downfall since birth because they have nothing better to do with their time. Run!

as long as you 'Mericans are playing at home with your Barbies it's almost OK, matter of internal affairs.

    it's silly and totaly wrong
and endangers me to become even more paranoid, lol
